Unit 6 I am watching TVTeaching objectives:1. To be able to acquire the following phrases: make soup, use the computer,wash the dishes, talk on the phone and so on.2. To be able to talk about what people are doing using todays target language: Whats he/she doing? He/She is Ving. What are you/they doing? I am/ They are Ving.3. To be able to improve the listening and speaking ability. 4. To have a great interest in learning English.Teaching procedures:Step 1: Lead in Q:What time is it now? Q:So what are we doing now? S: We are having an English class now. T: Yes. I am teaching you English. And I am writing on the blackboard now. Right?And you are listening to me carefully. Right? So do you know what we are going to learn? T: Yes, we are going to learn how to talk about what people are doing now. We are having an English class now. How about other people? What are they doing now? Lets go and have a look! Show students some GIF pictures to make students know the present progressive tense better and have a preliminary understanding of the target language. Meanwhile hope to arouse students interest.Step 2: Word and sentence presentation Show the subject picture of this unit and use the picture to introduce todays phrases and target language. Meanwhile write down the phrases on the blackboard and lead students to read them aloud. In order to make students pay attention to the Ving, write them with red chalk. Review and read aloud: Lead students to read the phrases and sentences aloud first and then lead them to observe these sentences and summarize the basic sentence pattern of : Sb be Ving sth. Step 3: Practice Task 1: Who has quick eyes? Show nine pictures to students quickly and ask them to tell me what they are doing quickly. Task 2: Match the activities with the pictures. Ask students to finish 1a and check the answer like this: In picture i , she is watching TV. Task 3: Listening. What are these people doing? Ask students to fill in the blanks and read aloud the tape script. Task 4:Pair work: Show the subject picture again and ask students to practice todays target language. Task 5: Guessing game: Show students the yes or no question of present progressive tense and ask them to use this sentence pattern to have a guessing game. Step 4: Consolidation: Im a reporter. Show students the picture of a happy family. Ask students to report what they are doing right now or fly their imagination and write whatever they want to write about a happy family.Step 5: Homework: 1:Observe what your family members are doing at any time th
