Students are to learn to talk about the different weather using the new words and phrases , and describe what people are doing freely.2. Students will learn to describe what people do in various weather .3. Students are to learn to express their likes and dislikes and give the reasons about them.二、Language target 语言目标By talking about the weather, students are to learn the present continuous tense:How is the weather? -It s raining!How is it going ? -It s great!Is Aunt Sarah there ? -Yes, she is.What s she doing ? -She s cooking.三、Teaching aims教学目标Students are to grasp the new language items :.What are you doing? - Im watching TV.What is he /she doing?- He/She is playing basketball.How is the weather? - Its raining.The key points and the special difficulties.Describe what is happening-present continuous tense四、Ability target 能力目标To learn to communicate with each other by talking about the weather. To have the ability to make a weather forecast. To analyze the relations between the weather and our environment .五、Emotion goal 情感目标Through the activities of talking about the weather and things around us, students show their concern for others , the environment and our society.六、Teaching steps 教学步骤Step 1 Duty report1Ask one student to give a duty report.2Ask some questions about the weather and something else.Step 2 Presentation1.Ask the students to watch a weather report and let them answer. what is she doing ?.2.The teacher ask several students to pretends to be eating, reading a book,washing the face ,swimming,playing basketball, running etc,let the other syudents ask and answer,go over the present continuous tense .Step 3 Look and say1. Look at the pictures of Section A2. Ask and answer (describe the weather and describe what you are doing ). Do it like this:Look !How is the weather in the picture?Its sunny.Then learn the new words about the weather one by one .2.英语中有许多名词可以加y这样的后缀变成形容词,如: wind-windy, snow-snowy, sun-sunny。你知道它们怎么变吗?Sun _ sunny , rain_ rainy , snow _ snowyCloud _cloudy , wind _windy ,3. Lets chant:Sunny days, sunny days, dont go away. Lets play games today.Rainy days, rainy days, go away. Please stay at home today.4.match the words with the pictures .Step 4 Pairwork1. Learn some city names,such as Toronto,Mosco,Sydney,Paris. Hows the weather?Whats the weather like ?都是用来询问天气状况的句型。例如:Hows the weather in Beijing?Whats the weather like in Beijing ?2.rain的用法:既可作名词又可作动词。表示“下雨”句型也不同。作名词时,“下大雨”可以说The rain is heavy.或Its heavy rain.作动词时,“下大雨”可以说 It is raining heavily.此外,也可加后缀y变成形容词,表达“下雨”可说Its rainy.3.ask and answer in pairs .Suppose you are in the places in the pictures above, talk about the weather in pairsStep 6 Groupwork 1. Guessing game. (猜猜看) A背对黑板猜测,B为A做答。A:-Is it?B:No,it isnt /Yes, it is .2.各组用简笔画或图片呈现不同类型的天气,运用句型Hows the weather?
