Listen and write down the key words. b. Use relative clauses to talk about their favorite band,book, movie etc.3. Moral objects: Students talk about their preferences and enjoy their life.Teaching key point: Students express preferences on different things in daily life, using the relative clauses.Teaching difficult point:Talk about why they like the band, the book and the movie, using the sentences with relative clauses.Teaching methods: Listening method, pairwork and groupwork.Teaching aids: Tape recorder and the computer.Teaching procedures:Step I. Warming up and leading inTeacher makes a self-introduction. Talk about her own hobbies.Step . Presentation 1. Show different bands, books, movies on the screen. Ask students to talk about them in pairs. Give them help if necessary.2. Ask students to make their own dialogues using sentences with relative clauses. Then act them out. Encourage them if necessary.Step . Listening 1. First, tell students to have a look at the picture and let them guess what they are talking about.2. Play the tape the first time. Students just listen and try to get the main idea and then play the tape again, tell students to write down the answers. Ask them to check the answers by themselves.3. Listen again. Ask students to fill in the chart in 2b. Finally, check the answers as a whole.Step . Report Ask students to discuss their favorite things (such as bands, books, movies and etc.) in groups of four or five. Remind them to say why they like each thing.
