The number of some kinds of sharks have fallen be over 90 percent in the last 20 to 30 years.Teaching methods: Pair work, Group work, Role play Teaching steps:Step 1: Lead-in Give the students a picture about to lead them to discuss the pollution.Step 2: DiscussionLet the students come up with some solutions to cut down the pollution.T: How do you think can we do to reduce air pollution/ocean pollution?Step 3: PresentationWhat do you know about sharks? (Talk about the food chain) Step 4: While reading A. Let the students read the passage, match each paragraph with the main idea. B. Read the first paragraph, judge the statements. 1.
