Unit 9 Can you come to my party?第一课时 教学设计株洲市芦淞区体育路中学 彭 冲Teaching aims:By the end of this class, the students will be able to1. grasp the key vocabularies and sentences about invitations; 2. summarize the sentences, and use them to make, accept and decline the invitations;3. know some strategies of dealing with listening practice, making dialogues aboutEnglish learning;4. know more about communicating with others by performing and discussing withgroup members.Teaching contents:Textbook: P65(1a, 1b, 1c)Analysis of students and improving measures:In my class, most of thestudentsare left-behind children, their parents pay little attention to the students learning, so the children did not got into good learning habits, they are lack of initiative, with the addition of the specialty of this subject(students should read and recite more, but they did not make a good foundation in their primary school), the excellent students is not enough, but the unsubstantial students make up about 20%, therefore,the students English abilities need improving.In view of the above analysis, I plan to finish the teaching aims from the following aspects: 1.Teach the students to preview the new knowledge, and get into this good habit, in order to improve their learning initiative. 2. Use the studentsactive nature, encourage, compete, evaluate and play games with them. 3. Stimulate all the students by all kinds of activities. 4. Create active and interesting partys atmosphere by using modern teaching media and tools. 5. Consolidate the students basic knowledge.Key points:1. key vocabularies and sentences2. make, accept and decline the invitationsDifficult points:1. Use real situations and all kinds of activities to lead in the new knowledge.2. Use kinds of activities to practice and consolidate the knowledge of making,accepting and declining the invitations.Teaching aids:CAI, flash card,magnet,poster, model cake Teaching procedures:Step 1 Greeting ( 2 minutes )Greet students.T: Hi, boys and girls, nice to meet you! Im your new friend, Rachel. Im a party girl, I like all kinds of parties, but I like birthday parties best, because I like delicious cakes. (设计意图:熟悉学生, 引出party主题,为一幕剧拉开序曲)Step 2 Lead in and presentation ( 3 minutes )T: Today, when I come here, I find a big poster, Im so excited, let me see. Oh, Tan Kelis birthday party? Who is Tan Keli?S: Im here.T: Happy birthday, Tan Keli. When is your birthday?S: On this Saturday (Point to the calendar)T: Where is your party?S: At my home, not far from here. Rachel, Can you come to my party?T: Sure, Id love to. (a moment later)T: Oh, I forgot, I cant come to your party, because this weekend will be myfriend Sun Nings birthday, I will come to his party and meet my friend. (stick the phrase card on the blackboard.)(设计意图:紧扣派对这一主线,通过看到的海报,导出本堂课的话题和中心句“Can you come to my party?”)Step 3 Practice ( 15 minutes )1. listening practice(4 minutes) T: Sun Ning invited a lot of friends to his birthday party, Ted, Jenny, Tim but I dont know who can come and who cant come, now, lets listen to the tape and check.(students take out the guiding paper and do the exercises )T: Now, tell me Can Ted come to the party? Ss: No, he cant. Ted cant come to the party.T: What about? Can come to the party?Ss: T: Yes, you did a good job.T: Listen again and fill in the blanks.(Check the answers, “Why cant they come to the party?” Meanwhile, stick the phrase cards on the blackboard, teacher lead them to read)2. Activities(11 minutes)(1) Match phrases with the right pictures (4 minutes)(2) Finish 1a, and read the phrases together (3 minutes)(3) Play a game, E-C translation (4 minutes)(设计意图:以听力材料为载体,通过完成听力练习和设计一些有趣的活动,输入本堂课关于派对邀请的重点词汇和句型。)Step 4 Consolidation ( 16 minutes )1. Group work: Make conversations according to 1c ( 6 minutes)2. Show: Show the conversations to class, teacher gives assessment. (10 minutes )(设计意图:本堂课最重要的一个环节,就是对话的编排和表演,学生能够通过此环节输出自己英语储备库的存货,也能够现学现用本堂课的新知。)Step 5 Progress (4 minutes)1. Birthday party, birthday cake and birthday song. 2.
