Text analysis:Im going to talk about how to give the students this lesson. My topic is Renai Grade Seven. Unit 5 Topic 2 Section C. We have learned the Present continuous in section A and B. I think students can use this tense to comnmunicate with others fluently. I have asked students to preview and master the words and phrases before class. So its easy for them to start the lesson. Teaching aims and demands 1. knowledge objects and ability objects(1) Learn some new words and phrases: around. A few. Have a soccer game. Sit. Ping-Pong. Have lessons.clean the black board, at the back of the classroom.(2) Practice the present continuous fluently.(3) Improve the students listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities.(4) Encourage students to take part in learning activity.(5) Improve students ability to use the language.2. Moral obectEncourage students to love studying and doing sports. Teaching key points: (1) Learn and master new words and phrases.(2) Let students know how to use the present continucus. Teaching difficulties: (1) The sentence structure of the present continuous.(2) Be able to describe the action that is happening, using the present continuous. Teaching methods: (1) speaking. Listening and writing methods(2) communicative method, task-based method(3) Group work(4) Scene teaching method(5)A computer for multi-media use. Learning methods: (1) Teach students to develop the reading skill.(2) Get the students to form good learning habits. Teaching procedureStep 1. warming up Ill ask students if they can guess my English name, if they cant guess my English name. And Ill show them a chant. My English name is in the chant. First. Ill ask students to chant after me. Afety they know my Englsih name, Ill make conversations with them to review the present continusous.eg: T: , whats he doing? S1: He is sitting. T: . What are we doing now? S2: We are having a class.Have a imagination. Show students three pictures. If they are at home, in the park or in the music room now, what are they doing? Let students discuss in their groups, then use “Is he / she ing?” And Are they ing? To practice the present continous.Step 2 presentation1. As we know, Kangkang. Michael, Jane and Maria are studying in Beiing International school. Today, a new student come to their school. Miss Wang is showing him around the school. What are the students doing? Do you know, lets have a look.2. show some pictures to try to learn some phrases. Such as play ping-pong, have a soccer game, have lessons, a few, at the back of3. After remembering the phrases, use them to practice be doing.eg: T: Whats kangkang doing? S2: Hes reading English newspapers.Step 3 consolidation1. Look at 1a. There are three pictures. What are the students doing? Lets listen to 1a, then read it again. Complete 1b and 1c.2. check answers with students.Step 4. Practice.1. Look at three pictures. Discuss in their groups Then ask three groups to make a conversation.eg: S1: Where are they? S2: They are in the gym. S1: What are they doing? S2: Theyre dancing.2. Ask a student to retell the passage.3. Let students to write a short passage to describe what their classmates are doing. Then report it to their class mates.4. Look through the grammar.Step 4. ProjectGet students to draw a picture about their family members are doing, and then write a short passage to describe the picture. The lay out of the blackboard.Unit 5
