Present the new words with picturesAsk “Whats this?” Introduce this word to them, and then let Ss read them twice and keep them in mind.2. Exercise: Find out the adjectives and adverbsLet Ss find out the adjectives and adverbs on the screen, after that, write down their comparative forms.Answers: outgoing, serious.Finally, make a sentence Spiderman is more outgoing than Superman, but Superman is more serious than Spiderman.3. Exercise: 2a.Let Ss write the comparative forms of the following adjectives. Then use them to write five sentences about you and your friends.Check answers.4. PredictionLet the Ss look at the pictures, “What are they like?”Step3. While-readingQuickly reading1. 2b. Underline the comparative words and phrases in the passages.1.
