New York is in the east.认知目标：1、谈论国家和它们的首都：Washington D.C is the capital of the USA.2、能够用四个表示方向的词来谈论城市的位置。情感目标： 通过对本课的学习， 让学生了解有关美国的一些知识，培养他们跨文化意识和国际视野。通过引导学生参与游戏、竞争等丰富多彩的教学活动，激发了学生的学习兴趣和积极思维的能力，培养学生的合作精神和竞争意识。教学重点：1、能听懂、会说、会读词汇：east west north south New York San Francisco Washington D.C. 2、能听懂、会说、会读句型：Its in the east/ west /south /north. New York is in the east.教学难点：运用学过的单词、句型正确地表述城市的位置。教学方法：通过多媒体课件的巧妙使用，运用直接法、形象法、情景法、交际法、全身反应法等教学方法教学过程：Step 1: Warming up / Revision （热身启动 复习）Greeting : Hello boys and girls , nice to see you again . How are you ?Lets sing an English song : London bridge is falling down. （学生跟着课件，边唱边拍手，把学生带入欢乐的学习英语的氛围）T: Now, look at the pictures. What are they? Can you say something about them?(The students talk about the places of interests. And then describe them using adjectives. )T: Do you know where they are?S: They are in London.T: Yes, London is the capital of England. (通过课件，展示伦敦四个著名景点的图片，谈论关于伦敦和英国的信息。因为前面已经学习过，学生们会很流利地用英语表达，从而对新知识的学习充满了信心。)Step 2 Presentation （新授内容）1、新课导入：T：Now, lets look at the pictures. Do you know these cities? (The students talk about the three famous places of interests in Chinese.)T: Where are they?S: 美国。T: Great. Today, lets learn something about America.(在复习旧知的基础上，利用课件出示美国几个著名景点，引入本课的主题，了解要学习的美国的一些文化地理知识。)新单词学习1、学习三个城市名称：T:Now class,look at these pictures,do you know these cities?who can tell us ?You may speak Chinese.(学生看大屏幕上三个城市的图片，用汉语讲述一下这三个城市，对所学的新知有了初步地感知。)Teach the words about three cities: Washington D.C. New York and San Francisco .（课件上先出现三个城市的图片，每个图片都标有单词，鼠标点击单词，孩子们会听到单词的正确发音，图片声音相结合。）Ask the students to watch the CAI and learn to say the words about the cities.Practise three words in different forms. (1)Look at my mouth carefully.(2)Say and do the actions.(3)Practise the words in pairs.Learn to say : America , the USAT: These cities are very nice ,they are all in America .（屏幕上出现America,学生跟读、练习） America is also called the USA.（屏幕上出现the USA跟读，练习）T: New York is in America .Ss: Washington D.C. is in America .Ss: San Francisco is in America .（在老师引导的基础上，后面2个句子要求学生独立表达。）Play a game : Whats missing ? Look at the screen carefully and find which city is missing ?（看课件，快速闪过三个城市，然后定格在两个或者一个城市上面，要求学生迅速说出少了哪个？ 通过游戏的形式复习巩固了所学的新单词。）2、学习东、西、南、北四个方向T: This is a map of America ,Lets go on talking about something about America.T: How can we find what they are correctly? Who can help us ? （课件上出示方位图标，学生很容易用汉语说出四个方向）Whats the meaning of this sign?T: Now were going to learn four directions .Lets look at the sign .Its east /west /south /north .（看方位图标，分别学习东西南北四个单词）（1） Read after the CAI.（2） Pay attention to the pronunciation （3） Practice the new words . （4） Listen and point: Point to the east, point to the west（5）Learn to say : the east,the west ,the south , the north.（6） Learn to say : in the east, in the west（7） Say a chant.T: Boys and girls ,youve done a very good job . Are you tired ? Now, lets say a chant.East,east, its in the east.West,west,its in the west.South south ,its in the south.North north ,its in the north.(课件上出现了韵句，学生随着音乐一边做动作，一边说韵句)新句型学习T: Look at the map of America , Where is New York ? Can you guess?Ss: New York is in the east. (Talk about the locations of San Francisco and Washington D.C.)(1) Say after the teacher.(2) Read the sentence one by one.Where is San Francisco ? Can you guess?Ss:San Francisco is in the west.Where is Washington D.C.?Ss:Washington D.C. is in the east.T: Yes, Washington D.C.is in the east,and Washington D.C.is the capital of the USA.(借助多媒体课件，呈现美国地图，学习句型，谈论方位。出现旧金山、纽约和华盛顿的图片。在熟练地表达纽约的正确方位以后，学生们就能很容易地表达出旧金山和华盛顿的位置)知识延伸：T: Now ,lets do some exercises. Look ,this is a map of China ,there are some cities .They are Beijing, Shanghai,Lhasa, Qingdao and Sanya.Lets talk about the locations in groups.（出现中国地图和一些著名城市的名称，让学生分组谈论城市的位置，然后找学生到前面，操作电脑表达城市的正确方位，达到巩固的目的。）小结 (Summary)Tod
