Present the picture of Wang Ping on Page 12. Ask the students to look at it and guess: Is the girl happy? What problems does she have?II. Tell students they are going to learn more about school life.Readingpresentation I. Ask students to read the e-mail of Wang Ping. Remind them to apply the reading skills. Then ask them to finish the “true” or “false” questions: Wang Ping is not busy at her new school. Wang Ping has to take music lesson. Wang Ping doesnt need to memorise a lot of newwords. Wang Ping has a great deal of free time.II. Play the tape. Ask the students to listen to it and read after that.III. Divide students into groups and instruct them to do Activity on Page 12. Encourage students to fill in the form.IV. Instruct students to finish the reading on Page 13. Remind students of the reading skill: scanning for the gist.
