人教版义务教育教科书英语八年级上册 Unit 2 How often do you exercise?教材解读本单元中心话题是exercise。主要语言功能项目Talkabouthowoftenpeopledothings.以活动为主线,围绕着谈论活动频率等语言功能项目展开了一系列任务活动。教材内容从基本语言知识到语言综合运用层层递进,听说读写依次展开,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生在做事中有目的地学习语言。本单元的主要内容是表达“频率”。Section A通过“谈论做运动的频率”,通过听力、对话练习、小调查等方式帮助学生掌握如何询问及表达有关频率的内容(做运动的频率,日常活动的频率,学习的频率等);Section B通过讨论饮食及其他生活方式,通过听力、阅读、做调查等方式,帮助学生掌握如何用频度副词综合表达信息;Self Check部分通过填空帮助学生复习所学词汇,通过开放式的写作帮助学生巩固对频度副词的掌握。这一单元的重点在于“表达频率”。单元目标一、知识与技能1. 掌握如何恰当地使用频率副词及短语:always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never, how often, once, twice, three times a week, every day, habit, What do you usually do on weekends? How often do you .?2. 掌握如何描述课余时间的活动安排。3. 掌握如何描述基本的饮食结构:milk, junk food, health, unhealthy4. 能够综合各种信息,准确地表述频率。二、过程与方法由浅入深地教会学生正确使用频率副词。交际法:学外语的主要目的不是在掌握语言结构本身,而是在发展学生的交际能力,让他们在创设的交际情景中学会知识,以便能再运用于现实交际活动中。三、情感、态度与价值观合理安排自己的生活,多做运动,有一个健康的生活方式,养成健康的生活习惯。教法导航以学生为中心,以活动为驱动点,以任务为目标的教学方式,充分利用多媒体,让学生在活动中感知、领悟、体验和实践语言知识要点。学法导航在实践与合作中提高语言的综合使用能力,加深对基础知识的掌握和记忆。课时支配第1课时:Section A 1a-2c第2课时:Section A 2d-3c第3课时:Section B 1a-2c第4课时:Section B 2d-Self Check课时教案 第1课时 Section A 1a-2c教学目标一、知识与技能1能够谈论课余时间的活动并谈论做事情的频率。2词汇:how often, exercise, hardly, ever, shop, once, twice, time, surf, Internet, program3句子:What do you usually do on weekends? I play soccer. How often do you exercise? I exercise every day/once a week. I hardly ever exercise. 二、过程与方法采用目标和直观教学法,调动学生的积极性,引导他们积极参与课堂。 三、情感、态度与价值观通过了解同学的生活习惯,增进了解,加深友谊。教学重点能运用What do yo do on weekends? How often do you watch TV?进行交际。教学难点正确使用频度副词,准确表达自己的生活习惯。教法导航课上引导学生积极参与课堂活动,老师少讲,鼓励学生多练。学法导航发现法,动手法。教学准备多媒体,卡片。教学过程Step 1 GreetingsGreet the students as usual.Step 2 Lead inSay: What do you often do on weekends? Great! I love reading, too. Look at this card. What does the boy often do on weekends? Yes, he watches TV.Step 3 Group workShow the students the picture in 1a and say: Guess. What are the children doing, S1? A good guess. S2, what do you think? I think so. Now please look at the picture carefully. Work in groups and make a list of the different weekend activities.Step 4 ListeningSay Well done! Do you often go shopping, girls? What about boys? So you hardly ever go shopping, right? Introduce the other words in this way: always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never. Now please look at 1b. S1, can you read them for us? S2, could you please tell me the meaning of each word? Quite good!Now we will listen to the tape and write the activities next to the correct frequency words. Ask some students to report their answers.Step 5 Pair workLets look at 1c. S1 and S2 , could you read the conversation for us? Quite good. Lets look at the picture again. S3, What does the girl often do on weekends? (The teacher points to a picture in the picture in 1a.) Quite good. Now please work in pairs and talk about the activities they do on weekends. After a few minutes, say OK! Which pair would like to do first? Please! Good. And this pair, please. Step 6 ListeningAsk: Do you watch TV,S1? How often do you watch TV? Maybe your answer is once a week or twice a week. Here, once means one time, twice means two times. OK. Now Look at 2a. Listen. Cheng Tao is talking about how often he does different activities. Number the activities you hear 1-5. Lets begin. Have you gto the answer? Who can tell me the answer? Very good. Now we will listen again. How often does Cheng Tao do the activities above?Match his activities with the number of times he does them. After listening, say: Please tell me the answer like this: Cheng Tao watches TV twice a week. Understand? Excellent!Step 7 PracticePlease look at the form in 2c. Here are some activities that we can do. How often do you do them? Write them down. S3 and S4, could you please read the conversation for us? Well done! Please work in pairs. What does he.?How often do you read English books? How often does he?二、过程与方法反复训练重点句型,用各种方法巩固表示频率的单词,短语和句子。三、情感、态度与价值观通过互相询问周末的活动,学习同学们的好的做法,摒弃不好的做法。教学重点1能够熟练谈论某些日常活动的频率。2学习完成任务所需要的语言。教学难点在上一课学习询问对方的基础上,进一步掌握询问第三者的句型。教法导航游戏,两人对话练习,小组活动,以学生为主体调动学生的积极性学法导航学生认真听,多训练以此达到学以致用的目的。教学准备图片、多媒体。教学过程Step 1 GreetingsGreet the class as usual.Step 2 RevisionSay: Now Id like you to say a sentence one by one. Please use different words we learned. You can do it like this: S1: I get up at six every day. S2: I read English books twice a week. Step 3 Role playSay: Jack and Claire are talking about Claires activities for next week. Who can read it for us? Then ask the students to read in pairs. Step 4 PresentationShow the students some pictures, each with an activity and frequency word on it. Then ask the students one by one: What do you usually do on weekends? After several minutes, ask a student the question and after his/her answering, ask another student: What does he/she usually do on weekends?Step 5 Group workRemind the students to pay attention to the usage of “do” and “does”. Get the students to work in three and ask and answer the questions in Grammar Focus on Page 11. Then ask some groups to practice in front of the class. Step 6 Practice3a. Complete the questions with do or does. Match the questions and answers.Check the answers in groups. Then read the questions and answers in pairs.Step 7 Pair work3b. Get the students to use the words given to write questions. Then ask and answer them with a partner. Write down the answers on your books. Then ask some students to write their answers on the blackboard.Step 8 Make a surveyAsk: Do you often read English books? I drink milk every day. Do you like it? And ask some students to report their answers.1d Listen again. Fill in the blanks in the survey. Play the tape at least twice. After listening, get the students to check their answers in groups and then ask some students to report their answers.Step 7 Group workWork in three. Student A is the reporter. Student B is Tina. Student C is Bill. Ask and answer questions like the conversation in the box. After several minutes, ask some groups to act it out.Step 8 Reading 2a Ask how often do you play computer games? How often do you go to the movies? Go through the activities in 2a first and rank these activities according to how often you think your classmates do them.2b Read the article and complete the pie charts on Page 14. After a few minutes, ask some students to report their answers.2c Ask the students to read the article again and answer the questions.
