Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?Period 1(Section A 1a-1c)平昌县元山中学 张 丹一、教学内容及学情分析 本单元的话题是“礼貌地请求和礼貌地征询许可”。本课时是Unit3的第一课时,是导入课,其主要目标是通过话题谈论家务琐事导入本单元的话题,为本单元后面的内容进行引导和做准备。根据本单元的编排结构,本课时的学习内容是:1)重点词汇 do chores ,do the dishes , sweep , sweep the floor, take out , trash, fold, make the bed, living room;2)能运用 “Could you please .?” “礼貌地提出请求, 及回答语“Sure / All right/ No problem ”。被授课学生为八年级的学生,他们现在所处的年龄与本课所谈论的话题息息相关。同时,学生经过一年半的英语学习以及平时所养成的学习习惯和学习能力是能够完成本课的学习内容,本课所运用的教学方法和设计理念也是基于此而进行的。二、学习目标1、知识与能力目标:学习重点词汇 do chores ,do the dishes , sweep , sweep the floor, take out , trash, fold, make the bed, living room音、形、义等,并能够运用它们谈论家务。2、 句型: 学习并运用核心句型“1)Could you please .? 2)sure./All right. / No problem.”礼貌地提出请求以及礼貌地回答。3、 运用本课的重点词汇及句型谈论做家务。4、 情感目标:应该帮助父母多做家务。三、教学重点1、掌握课本所学的单词及短语(听、说、读、写、用五会)。2、熟练运用所学重点句型进行口头交际。3、交际功能:客气、委婉地提出请求及其回答(允许、拒绝)。四、教学难点1、能够运用听力和小组合作讨论的方式解决学习问题:怎样发出礼貌的请求以及回复。2.学生通过讨论归纳、总结出合作学习的结果。交际功能:客气、委婉地提出请求及其回答(允许、拒绝)。五教学活动【导入】T:What do you usually do on weekends?Ss: I often. on weekends.(do homework / watch TV /play computer games.)T:Do you often help your parents do housework? Such as cleaning the room ,washing clothes,cooking meal,feeding chickens .Ss: . T: We also call these housework as chores.(出示该生词及音标并板书在黑板上,引导学生自行拼读该词语)Students study these new word by themselves.设计分析:采用情景导入法导课,在复习所学重点交际用语的基础上,通过师生自由问答,自然导入新课。【讲授】(教学1a-1c)Step11.T:In fact,we should help our parents do more chores.2.Show pictures about chores one by one. Show the picture about doing the dishes first.3.Show other pictures about the rest of chores of this class.4.Guide students study the chores in 1a by themselves in groups.5.Check the results like this: We should also . at home .(老师在必须要纠正生词的发音“rubbish,fold,sweep”)Step 2 Doing a Guessing game to master the chores.What chores are they doing?She/He is doing.1.Let students know the game rules before doing games.Game rules: 1)Ill show you some pictures whose parts are covered .2)You should guess what chore is each picture about.3.)First,you should hand up as quickly as you can.4If you give me an answer,Ill give you one .5If you give me a right answer,Ill give you one more.2.Play the games and give students marks.Step 3 Discuss about what classmates in groups do chores at home.1.T:Do you do these chores at home? Discuss them with your partners in your group. And then make a report in the class. And show the example of a report:In our group, ./and. sweep the floor/. at home. But.doesnt . at home.2. Students discuss in groups .3. Students make report in the class.4. T: We should do more chores in order to help our parents more.Step 4 Listening practice.1. Guide students look at the main picture like this:T: Who is the boy? Who is the woman?Ss: He /She is .T:How do you know?Ss: . .T: Where are they? Ss:They are . .T:What happened to them?Ss: . .T:Peters grandma is visiting them at seven.Will she be happy?Ss:T:So what should they do at once?Ss: They should . .T:But what chores should they do?Ss: They should. .2. Show the chart in 1b.T:They should do these chore to make their house clean.(point at the chart) But who will do these chores?3. Guide students discuss the listening strategies in groups.4. Students share their ideas in the class.5. Teacher sum up and show the listening strategies:Listening strateges:1) Pay more attention to :the key words dishes,floor,rubbish,bed,clothes and living room.2) Pay more attention to the voice of male or female. Male refers to Peter and female refers to Peters mother.6. Listen and fill in the chart.7. Check answers like this:T:Who will do these chores?S1:. will . .Step 4 key Structure1.Listen and discuss the key structures.T:What are they talking about?(point at the main picture)Ss:They are talking about .T:Does she want Peter to do any chores?Ss: .T: She should make requests,but how can she make polite requests?
