Warm-upAn English proverb Todays reader, tomorrows leader.给学生创造阅读氛围,让学生渴望阅读,并且鼓励学生参与阅读。2. Lead-inIntroduce Martin Luther King and World Trade Center by showing pictures andasking students some questions one by one. After the discussion the teacher can play parts of videos about Martin Luther Kings famous speech I Have a Dream and the damage of the World Trade Center to let students feel true about historical events. During the time, the teacher may show the culture background in Chinese by PPT.通过图片引入马丁路德金和世贸大厦,为阅读的相关内容做铺垫,同时学习文化背景,让孩子们了解与阅读相关的重大历史事件。3. Pre-readingPredict what passage is about by pictures in the text and title. Teach students draw conclusions by key words.带领学生读标题、看图片,引导学生预测文章的大意4. While-reading(1) Reading strategy: Scanning (Moving eyes quickly down the page to find specific information)Let students answer two questions by using this way. At the same time the teacher tell students pictures are important for our reading.(a) What are the two events in the passage?(b) When did they happen?运用扫读的阅读策略找到与问题相关的信息,培养学生快速阅读的技巧。这种方式对于长篇文本的理解非常有用。(2) Main idea of each paragraphTitle is helpful for us to understand a text. It is also good idea to read the firstsentence of each paragraph before we read the whole text. Therefore, let students read the first sentence of each paragraph and match the main idea according to them. Post-readingThink about your impressive memory and share with your partner.让学生搜索脑海中难忘的记忆,与他人分享,这是对学生们用英语
