Unit 2 I think that mooncakes are delicious!Section A (1a-1c)黄桥中心学校 刘炳燕整体设计思路:本节课是新目标英语九年级上册第2单元SectionA部分的第一课时。基于课本内容和学生的实际水平,本课时完成SectionA(1a-1c)的教学内容。首先利用有关节日的图片,激发学生学习兴趣,让学生开口说英语,认识有关节日名称的英文表述。进而利用课本1a-1c的训练让学生熟悉话题词汇,初步感知和了解感叹句和宾语从句,运用目标语言谈论节日。所以在本节课的教学中我采用任务型教学法,角色表演,小组合作的教学模式,面向全体学生引导学生积极思考,激励学生主动参与,力争构建自由、合作,创新的教学模式。教学内容分析:本节课是人教版九年级上册第2单元SectionA部分的第一课时,教学内容为(1a-1c),包含本单元重要的语言知识和功能用语,为本单元进一步学习根据节日的相关信息发表自己的观点、模仿和运用语言打下基础。本部分的主题是中国常见的传统节日,及与端午节有关的话题,贴近学生生活是本节课的主要特点,它通过让学生听并了解Bill和Mary之间对话,引导学生认识并理解宾语从句,完成简单的英文输出,培养学生的口头表达能力。学生情况分析:九年级的学生已积累了一定的词汇量和功能用语,英语基础知识和听说能力较扎实,读写能力稳步提高,思维敏捷,乐于交流和表达自己,喜欢被表扬。所以,在教学流程中设置任务活动,充分激发学生的学习兴趣,逐步达成本课的教学目标。Teaching Aims and Demands1Knowledge objects(1)Key vocabulary:mooncake, lantern (2)Target language:What a great day!Bill wonders whether theyll have zongzi again next year.Bill and Mary believe that theyll be back next year to watch the races.2.Ability objects(1)To introduce and learn about festivals.(2) To recognize and understand how to use that,“if”and “whether”. 3.Moral object As a student ,we should know about traditional Chinese culture and love our own country.Teaching important points:(1)Phrases:the Water Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival, watch the races, a little too crowded, like best.(2)Sentences:Bill thinks that the races were not that interesting to watch.Mary thinks that the teams were fantastic.Bill wonders whether theyll have zongzi again next year.Bill and Mary believe that theyll be back next year to watch the races.What do you like best about the Dragon Boat Festival?I love the races.I think that theyre fun to watch.Teaching difficult points: Objective clauses with that,if and whether,Teaching methods:(1) Role play and pairwork(2) Listening-and-answering activity to help students go through with the listening material.Teaching aids:A tape recorder the multi-mediaTeaching procedures:Section A (1a 1c)Step 1: Greeting and leading-inPresent a picture of mooncakesT:Do you want to have a taste when you see the picture? S:.T:What are they in English? (Present the new word “mooncake) S:Theyre mooncakes.T:Very good.They are mooncakes. Teach students the new word.T:When do you usually have mooncakes? S:We usually have mooncakes on Mid-Autumn Festival.T:Are mooncakes delicious? S:T:I think that mooncakes are delicious.Step2:PresentationT:Today,well learn Unit 2 I think that mooncakes are delicious!Section A (1a-1c).Please look through the language goal of this part first. To introduce and learn about festivals. To recognize and understand how to use “if” and “whether” “that.Present the picture of “lanterns”,and help the students to read the new word,then explain the Lantern Festival(元宵节).Present the pictures of festivals one by one,let students to recognize them.And teach them if necessary.(The Dragon Boat Festival ,The Water Festival ,The Chinese Spring Festival ,The lantern Festival ,The Chongyang Festival)T:What festival do you like best? While-listening: Play the tape for the second time and do 1b.1. Bill thinks that the races were not that interesting to watch. T F2. Mary thinks that the teams were fantastic. T F3. Then correct them.Post-listening:Let students look at the four sentences again,and find the same points.Pay attention to thinks that ,wonders whether, believe that .Tell students theyre objective clauses.Ask students to turn to page134 Unit 2 Section A 1b,listen to the tape again and read after it.Then find objective clauses in the listening material.Step 4: Pair Work (1c Talk about the pictures in 1a. )Use the information you have learned in the listening material to make your own conversations with your partner, give claps to the best pair.ExamplesA: What do you like best about the Dragon Boat Festival ?B: I love the races.
