In this class, it is mainly about school rules. This unit aims to enable students to master Imperatives and use “can” and “must” to talk about rules. Students are also familiar to “can”. They have already learn it in Unit one to express ones ability. After this class, students can talk about rules by using Imperatives, “can”, “have to” and “must”.II. Analysis of the students:This is the second term for the students being in junior high school. They have already been familiar to the school rules. So school rules are not new to them. They will have a new view about rules after this class. And they are also willing to talk about rules and express their feelings about rules. In this class, I will give them chance and time to talk and practice English and teach them some useful studying methods to help them to be a successful language learners.III. Teaching aims: 1、 Knowledge objectives:(1) Students can read and use new words and phrases: rule, arrive, dining, hall, fight, sorry, outside, wear, important, bring, quiet, on time, dining hall, listen to, have to, school uniform, bring to(2) Students can talk about rules with the patterns:Dont. A: Can we.? B: Yes, we can. C: No, we cant. We cant. We have to/must/can.(3) Students can write a short passage to introduce their school rules and feelings about them by using “have to”, “must”, “can”, “cant” and Imperatives.2、 Ability objectives:(1) Students can improve their ability of listening and speaking.(2) Students can improve their ability of working in groups.(3) Students can improve their ability of expressing themselves.3、 Moral objectives(1) Students can understand the importance of obeying rules.IV. Teaching important points and difficult points:(1) To master the new words and phrases.(2) To use the patterns to talk about rules.(3) To write a short passage to introduce school rules and express feelings about rules.V. Good morning, boys and girls. I am your new teacher. You can call me Ms Teng. So nice to meet you.2. First, lets enjoy a song. Do you like school rules? Some students like them. Some dont like them.but we all need school rules, right? In this class, we will learn some school rules.3. What school rules do you have?4. To write down the school rules students said on blackboard using Imperatives.5. To lead students to learn the new words and phrases in this period.6. To ask students to complete Task one on guidance case.7. To check the answers to the Task one.1. Students will response.2. Students enjoy the song. And they will be good to express their likes and dislikes.3. Students answer the teachers questions. Their answers may different.3. Students learn the new words and phrases. They can read them and know their meanings.4. Students complete Task one on guidance case.5. To check the answers to Task one.1. By greeting, students can focus on the new lesson quickly. Also, the song can motivate them and help them get into the new topic quickly. Thus, we not only have a good relationship, but also have a learning environment in the classroom.2. To consolidate the new words and phrases by completing the Task one in the guidance case.3. To lead students to say rules using Imperatives.Step 2: Presentation(1) To present the Imperatives.(2) Practice1. To present pictures on PPT to lead students to say the rules using Imperatives.2. To vividly lead in the pattern by giving a short play.2. To give students more chances to practice the pattern and the imperatives by pair-work ,conversation presentation.Step 3: Presentation(1)To present the pattern:A: Can we.(fight)?B: No, we cant. We must.C: Yes, we can.(2) Practice1. To ask two students to give a short play. ( The two students pretend to fight with each other.)2. The teacher asks students several questions by using the pattern as examples. 3. To lead students to learn and practice the pattern.4. 2a Listening Practice. To explain the requirements clearly.5. 2b Listening Practice. To explain the requirements clearly.6. To check the answers to 2a and 2b. 1. Two students give a short play.2. Students follow the teacher to read and practice the pattern.3. Students answer the example questions.4. Students practice the pattern in pairs.5. To ask students what their school rules are and to write a short passage about their school rules using “must”, “have to”, “can”, “cant” and “Dont.”.9.
