第二课时Section A 2d3c新乐市实验学校:郭晓娜教学目标 1.记忆词汇:large, order, size, bowl, tofu, meat短语:take ones order, one bowl of, beef and tomato noodles, beef soup, what size, mapo tofu with rice, the tomato and egg soup 2.能够运用what询问想要什么,what kind of询问什么种类,what size询问大小尺寸,并作出回答。3.区分可数名词与不可数名词。4.通过听力训练,在情景交际中练习语言点,提高英语听说能力。5.通过了解一些饮食搭配,养成良好的饮食习惯。教学内容1.复习并学习新的有关食物的名词。2.学习如何在饭店点餐的句型。3.区分可数名词与不可数名词。4.通过各种练习,巩固点餐的句型。教学重难点1.总结点餐所用短语和句子结构。2.可数名词与不可数名词的区别与运用。3.能掌握点餐的句型,并在实际情境中运用。 教学思路 本课时的教学内容是人教版七年级下册英语第十单元的第二课时,首先引导学生通过观看图片,复习有关食物的名词,进一步通过对话,继续学习如何点餐或叫外卖的句型,并引导学生在听力、口语活动中加以运用。以活动和任务引起学生的听说兴趣,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。利用图片辅助听力和说话,同时在对话中反复运用新学的单词和短语。在“语法聚焦”中,对点餐的句型进行总结,讲解可数名词与不可数名词。最后通过完成对话的形式的练习,对所学句型进行巩固。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握可数名词与不可数名词和有关的点餐句型。能力目标定为提高听说能力,情感目标定为通过话题的学习,体会学习英语的乐趣,做到“在用中学,在学中用”。养成良好的饮食习惯。教学准备设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图。教学过程Step.Lead in1.Warm up by a free talk.(Show a picture of a beautiful noodle house.)T:I like eating noodles very much.So I want to have a noodle house.There are some specials in my restaurant.They are beef and tomato noodles, mutton and carrot noodles, chicken and cabbage noodles.Welcome to my noodle house! What would you like?Ss:Id like some noodles.T: What kind of noodles would you like?Ss:Id like beef and tomato noodles./T: You can practice conversations like this.You are the waiter or waitress, and your partner is a customer.Ss practice the conversations with their partners.2.Presentation.Show a picture of a small bowl of noodles, medium bowl of noodles and large bowl of noodles.T: This is a small bowl.(Point to the small bowl of noodles.)Read after me,“bowl, bowl, bowl”.Ss: Bowl, bowl, bowl.T: This is a large bowl.(Point to the large bowl of noodles.) Read after me,“large, large, large”.Ss: Large, large, large.T: If we want to know which bowl the customer wants, we should ask: What size would you like? Read after me “size, size, size”.Ss: Size, size, size.T: Repeat the words and try to remember them.Ss read the words aloud to remember them.T: Practice the dialogue with your partner.(Show the dialogue on the PPT.)A: What size would you like?B:Id like a large bowl. Ss practice it with their partner.设计意图利用开面馆引导学生复习上节课学过的点餐的句型,并引入新单词和句型,听过图片和具体的语境。使动词学习更加形象直观,自然地进入新话题。Step.Reading and role-playing(2d)1.Tell students to read the conversation in 2d.Ask some questions for the students to focus on.T: Now, please read the conversation in 2d and find the answers to these questions: (Show them on the PPT or write them on the board.)Q1.What vegetables are in the beef soup?Q2.What would Sally like?Q3.What would Tom like?Q4.Would Sally like a small or large bowl?(Ss read the conversation and try to find the answers to the questions.After most students finish reading, check their answers one by one.)T: Now lets check your answers.What vegetables are in the beef soup?Ss:There are some tomatoes.T:What would Sally like?Ss:Shed like a bowl of beef soup.T: What would Tom like?Ss: Hed like gongbao chicken and mapo tofu with rice.T:Would Sally like a small or large bowl?Ss:A large bowl.T: Very good.Im glad most of you can find the right answers.2.Listening and readingT: Please read after me. You can learn from the teacher and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.Then you can practice the conversation with your partners.Ss read after the teacher and then practice it with their partners.3.Then show the conversation on the PPT and then erase some phrases or sentences.Get the students to do the disappearing dialog exercise.T: (After the students practice the conversation, get them to role-play it.) Ill ask some pairs to role-play the conversation without reading.4.T: What new phrases and sentences do we learn from this conversation?Lets learn them.Ss discuss and the teacher writes them on the blackboard like these:May I take your order?in the beef soupWhat size would you like?some mapo tofu with riceT: Read these aloud and write them down in the exercise-books.These items should be explained.教材解读1.May I take your order? 这是餐厅服务员的常用语, 可以用Yes或No来回答,也可直接说出要的食物。May I take your order? 您可以点菜了吗?Some rice, please.请来些米饭吧。2.Wed also like gongbao chicken and some mapo tofu with rice. 此处with是介词,意为“具有,带着”,其引导的介词短语with rice在此作后置定语。There is a house with six rooms.有一座六个房间的房子。【拓展】with的其他用法:(1)with作状语,表动作伴随。Miss Li walks into the classroom with a smile on her face.李老师面带笑容地走进教室。(2)with以方式,用。You can eat it with a spoon.你可以用汤匙来吃它。设计意图利用教材上的情境,由读到说,教师精讲语言点,学生学习、训练目标语言。培养学生的阅读、合作能力、口语表达及语言运用能力。Step .Grammar Focus1.T: (Play the PPT and get the students to read them aloud.) Please read the questions and answers in Grammar Focus.Ss read the sentences aloud.2.(Learn the grammar.)T: Look at these sentences and the box below.Discuss:(1) What do these sentences talk about?(2) How to use “would like”.(3) Whats the meaning of “there be” pattern?(4) Countable nouns and uncountable nouns.After the students discussion, the teacher gets them to report to the class.And the teacher summarizes this activity and checks common mistakes.The teacher points out the sentence pattern and helps the class to learn.设计意图通过本单元的语言材料,通过提问引起学生对重点内容的注意,学生总结归纳英语语法要点,对重点内容精听精解,易于学习掌握。Step .Practice (3a-3b)1.T: Do you know how to order food in a noodle house?Ss: Yes.T: Now lets look at 3a.Complete the conversation in 3a by yourselves.Ss try to choose the right one for each blank.2.Check the answersT: Can you share your answers?
