The topic is Holidays and vacations. It talks about past events. Unit 1 Section B 3a-3c is about writing. Its difficulties for students to use the past events. And that is importance, too. In this part, try to arouse the students, I use many ways to set the scene, increase useful sentences for writing, recognize the writing, use the skills to write. For moral education, let the students know more about the culture of China and be proud of the culture of China. For the students, the students in Grade Eight, some have some abilities to learn English well, but some are trying their best to learn well, and some are trying to give up. So now its very important for teachers to give the students more ways to help them. Procedure:For 40 minutes. Part 1 Talk about the students vacation. Lead in with the pictures about Beijing. Try to arouse students interest. Part 2 Play a guessing game. Guess where the teacher went last year. Talk about the teachers trip in Beijing last year. In this part, the teacher tries to set the scene, and make sure the students know how to use the target language. Write the the sentences on the blackboard. Here are the sentences: I went to.with. on July 20th. It was sunny. I ate. I visited. I walked. I bought.I took some photos. I disliked. I felt.Part 3 Do 3a and let the students try to think about how to write a travel diary. Then check the answer. And summarize there are three parts to write a travel diary. The first part is the beginning, the second part is body. The last part is ending. How to write a travel diary. BeginningJuly 20 I went to.with.Body: It was sunny. I ate. I visited. I walked. I bought. I took some photos. Ending I dislike. I felt.Part 4 For increase useful sentences and get more information about the students talked the questions in 3b, and then fill in the form. Then act the dialogue. So more students will get more information about the writing. And at the same time, the students also practice the speaking. And get ready for writing. Part 5 For writing, before writing, give the writing guide. The students read rhythmically them together and clap their hands. One of the students write on the blackboard. According to the final exam. The students give the scores. The full scores is 15. And the students are trying to learn how to give the scores. Part 6 After writing, first we check the composition on the blackboard. And we found the mistakes together then correct the mistakes. Then remind the students pay attention to it. Then check the compositions in pairs. Then share what
