Unit 3 How do you get to school? New words (period one) 巫建芬Teaching and learning goals: Try to master the pronunciation, spelling and meaning of each word, learn to remember the new words according to the pictures, word formation and parts of speech .Learn to use the new words to make sentences freely and understand the story correctly. 【设计意图】 (目标展示可使学生明确具体的学习内容,做到有的放矢。)Teaching and learning steps:Step 1: Learn to read the new words of Unit3. 1. Let students read the new words in this unit according to the phonetics with partners and underline the difficult words. (根据音标读单词)2. Read the difficult words in groups. (小组合作,探究准确发音)3. Play the tape! Ss listen and repeat! Correct their pronunciations.(跟读,纠正发音)4. Sum up the right rules of reading English words. (及时总结,寻找规律)5. Read all the words again to consolidate the pronunciation. 【设计意图】(强化巩固单词发音,掌握准确的发音是记忆单词的 前提和基础。)Step 2: Learn to remember words of Unit3.一. Remember the following words by looking at the pictures. Show some pictures to teach new words:(给15分钟记单词时间,展示图片让学生站起来抢答单词并拼写,第一名加2分计入小组量化) He rides his bike to school. He takes the bus to work.He gets to school by bike. He goes to work by bus. 骑自行车 乘公共汽车 He walks to school. I drive my car to work.He goes to school on foot. I go to work by car.步行 开车 She goes to school by boat. I will take the train to Beijing. 乘船 乘火车 He takes the subway to work. This is a bus stop. 乘地铁 公共汽车站 There is a river in the town. There is a bridge over the river. 河 桥 We live in a small village. There are many photos. 村庄 许多 They go on a ropeway to school. The kids cross the street. 乘索道 横过,越过 She has a good dream. She is very afraid. 梦 害怕二Remember the following words by word formation conversion(转换)、complex words (合成)and derivative(派生)。1ropewayrope + way 索道2. kilometerkilo + meter 千米3villagervillage + r 村庄4.stop 停止(v.)-stop车站(n.)5.sixtysix + ty 六十6.seventyseven + ty 七十7.eighty eight +y 八十 8. ninety nine+ ty 九十【设计意图】(找方法记单词,2090 的整十位数是由相对应的个位数+后缀_ty构成,减少学生记单词的难度。)三Remember the following words by key words.1. ear n. 耳朵 2. cross v. 穿过 year n. 年 across prep.穿过;横过3. live v. 居住 4. by prep. 乘 alive adj. 活着的 bye v. 再见四Remember the following words and phrases by their Chinese. ride a bike /by bike骑自行车 think of 认为take the subway 乘地铁 every day每天 between and介于和之间 come true 实现 【设计意图】 (使用不同的记忆单词的方法,刺激学生的各项感官,加深印象。)Step 3.Read the text to remember the meaning of these new words.My name is Tom. I live in a small village. There are one hundred villagers in it. My home is very far from school. Its about sixty kilometers. So I get up early every day. There is no subway or train. First I ride my bike to the bus stop. Then I take the bus. It takes me about eighty or ninety minutes. I never go on a ropeway. My dream is to take it one day. I hope my dream can come true. I have a pen friend, Bob. He is 12 years old. Hes like a brother to me, he lives in kaishandao .There is a river between his school and the village .There is no bridge.
