Unit 2 How often do you exercise? 第一课时教学设计平利城关初级中学 赵静一、教材分析 本单元是人教版英语八年级上册的第二单元,本单元的语言功能项目是谈论做事情的频率(Talk about how often you do things)。本节课是单元第一课,围绕谈论日常活动来掌握频度副词的用法。二、教学目标1. 能够谈论课余时间的活动并掌握频度副词的用法。2. 完成学习任务所需要的语言:1) 词汇:exercise., skateboard, hardly, ever2) 句子:- What do you usually do on weekends? - I usually watch TV.- What does she do on weekends? - She often goes shopping.3. 完成课本第一页1a,1b和1c的教学任务。三、教学设计思路结合学生生活设计活动,使学生在谈论自己生活的过程中掌握频度副词的用法及其他知识。四、教学环节Step 1 Greetings and lead-in1. Good morning, boys and girls! Today we are going to learn Unit 1 How often do you exercise? 2. Do you know the meaning of exercise? Exercise means do sports. Do you often exercise? What kind of exercise do you often do? Why not? Then, what do you often do on weekends? (以谈话的形式自然地引入到本节课的话题“What do you do on weekends?”,使课堂气氛轻松、活跃。)Step 2 Show Studying aims (通过展示学习目标,让学生明确本节课需要掌握的知识。)Step 3 Revision and presentation 1. Show the students pictures about “watch TV、read books、exercise、clean、skateboard、 play scoccer、go shopping、go to the movies”. Ask them to read these phrases. 2. Ask the students,“What do you usually do on weekends ? ” and let the students answer: “I usually on weekends.” (write the sentenc on the Bb at the same time)3. Have students work in pairs and ask partners what they usually do on weekends.A: What do you usually do on weekends?B: I usually watch TV / (在复习旧知的基础上呈现新单词exercise和skateboard,学生两人一组练习目标语言。)Step 4 1a1. Look at the picture. Ask a few students to say what they see in the thought bubbles. Then name each activity. Ask students to repeat each one. “Whats the boy/girl doing ? “He/She is reading .” 2. Then ask the students to write the different weekend activities.3. Check the answers.Step 5 Presentation and drill:1. T: “Now lets see my activities on weekends. I always get up at 6:30 in the morning.Then I usually exercise at 6:30. I often clean my house in the afternoon. Sometimes I watch TV, but I hardly ever watch sports shows. I never go to the movies.”2. Show the following adverbs of friquency on the screen and ask the students read twice. always(100%) usually(80%) often (60%)sometimes(40%) hardly ever(20%) never(0%)3. Show the pictures one by one, ask and answer to practice the adverbs of frequency.4. 1cPairwork. Ask students to practice with partner, and make their own conversations about the people in the picture.(把1c的口语练习提前,通过形式多样的练习,进一步巩固频度副词的用法。)Step 6 1b1. Play the recording the first time. Students only listen. 2. Play the recording a second time. This time, ask students to write the letters from the picture on the lines.3. Check the answers.4. Listen to the tape a third time, then have students practice the conversation in groups.Step 7 Exercise and summary1. Show some exercises on the screen, ask students to finish them.2. Summarise the key points in this class. Then ask students to recite them in a few minutes.
