In this class, I will help them quickly read through the text to tell what kind of the writing is and the purpose of the writing. During the course, the students have a chance to share the memories and experiences in junior high school and look ahead to the lives in senior high school.Teaching challenges:1. Students are confused about the meaning of some vocabularies.2. They have difficulties in the reading strategy.Teaching proceduresStep1. Warm upFlash some pictures of the students in junior high school with background music.设计意图:通过展示学生们初中丰富生活的照片,勾起他们对初中三年生活的回忆。激起对话题谈论的兴趣。Step2. Before reading 1. Mind mapI remember 2. Discuss in pair. What is the most important thing you have learned in junior high school?3. Share what they have discussed in class.4. Reading strategy: Identifying text type and purpose.设计意图:头脑风暴,让学生们讲述校园的学习和生活点滴,在小组结对活动中,讲述出初中记忆中最重要的事情。引入文章的话题,为下一步阅读做好充分的铺垫。Step 3 While reading1. Fast reading Read the passage for the 1st time and answer the questions in 2b.2. Intensive reading1).Read the passage again and find out the answers to the questions in 2c.2). Choose volunteers to share the answers in class.3). Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words in the box in 2c.4).
