OK, class, look at the screen.(show the four pictures by the PPT) Can you all see it?Ss: (Yes.)T: Good. First, lets see it together. Look at the first picture. There are two girls in the picture, right?Ss: (Yes.)T: The left one is Tina and the right one is Amy. Where were they ? Can you guess?Ss: ( They were in a restaurant.)T: Yes, maybe they were in a restaurant. And what were they doing?Ss:( They were having dinner together. )T: Yes, they were having dinner. Class, did they looked happy or sad?Ss: ( They looked happy.)T: Yes. And what about the 2nd picture. What were they doing?Ss: ( crying/ seeing a movie)T: Yes, Tina and Amy were seeing a movie and they were crying, right?Ss: (Yes.)T: What about next one, where were they?Ss: (Restaurant.)T: Yes. What about the music?Ss: (Its loudly.)T: Yes, maybe its loudly. The last one picture. Where was Tina?Ss: (Bus stop.)T: Yes. Did she look happy?Ss: (No.)T: She looked angry, right?Ss: (Yes.)T: OK. Now class, you have been divided into 4 groups, each group will focus on one picture to discuss what the children in each picture may be doing or talking about. OK?Ss: (OK.)T: Good. Group 1, you are focusing on the 1st picture. And group 2 focusing on the 2nd one, group 3, 3rd one, group 4, the last one. Clear?Ss: (Yes.)T: OK, you have 3 minutes to go. You will listen to a conversation about these pictures. During the listening, please pay attention and see whether your prediction is right or not. Stage 2 While-listening ActivitiesStep 1 & Step 2T: OK, class. Now we are going to listen to a conversation between John and Tina. They are talking about the things happened last night. Please listen carefully and after listening, answer the question “Did Tina have a good time last night?” Clear?Ss: (Yes.)T: Good. (T plays the tape for the first time.) Class, did Tina have a good time last night?Ss: (Yes and no.)T: How do you know?Ss: (She was lateThey went to movies)T: OK. You all get something from the conversation. Now lets do the exercise of 2a. Please number the pictures according to the conversation. OK?Ss: (OK.)T plays the tape again and waits a few seconds.T: Class, whats your answer?Ss: (3-2-4-1.)T: OK. Your answer is 3-2-4-1. Now lets listen to it again and see whether its right or not.T plays the tape again and stops after one thing they did. How did they feel about the restaurants and movies? T: Well, it doesnt matter; we will listen to it once again. Here is a table of their feelings about the restaurants and the movies (showed on the screen). Please write down the key words about what Tina, Amy, Johns feeling towards the loud music in Rockins Restaurant, Blue Lagoon Restaurant and Sad movies while you are listening to the tape.
