Lead in1.Show the key words and phrases to the class.2.Show the students two groups of pictures,and let the students play a guessing game. T: look at this picture, Whats this in English?Ss:Its a window.T: Now lets play a guessing game, what will happen if I open the window?Ss:I will see some flowers.T:Yeah,we can say “If I open the window,I will see some flowers.” .T:For this picture,we can say “If I give it a nose,it will be happy.”B. Make objectives clear The main task of this class is to learn the way of making consequences,to reach the teaching goal,students will do a lot of practice,just like pairwork,group work,listening ect. C. Achieve the desire resultsThis lesson is a period about “if”. Such topic is related to daily life. So it is helpful to raise learning interest of students. It will be also helpful to improve their spoken English by making dialogues. Step Two: Presentation and practiceTask 1:Lets have a tryA. Show task Show the students several pictures,and let them have a brainstorming. Talk about these pictures with the target language. B. Self-learning To let the students work in pairs,and try to make some sentences correctly.C. Communication Ask several pairs of students to give a report and I give the examples.E.g. A: If I eat too much, I will be fat. B: If I study hard, I will get good grades.C: If I work hard, Ill be a boss.D: If my clothes are out of style, I will buy some new clothes.Task 2: Listening practiceA. Show task In order to create a good English atmosphere that connects with the text, I show them a picture about a party, and let them think about some questions:what will happen if I go to the party with Karen and Ann?what will happen if I wear jeans to the party?What will happen if I take the bus to the party? What will happen if I stay at home.B. Self-learningAfter they answer those questions, let them look at the book on page 34, listen to the tape and do the exercise 1b. C.Communication Check their answers by themselves from listening to the tape.Task 3:Role playA. Show taskAsk the students to make a conversation according to the things they hear in part 1b.B.
