Show some pictures in different seasons and play the background music of CCTV weather report. Lead students into todays subject: weather report.2. Review some words about weather: warm, cold, cool,hot.C. Presentation1. Show five pictures about different weather, teach the new words in the sentences as following.T: Whats the weather like?Ss: Its windy/ cloudy/ rainy/ sunny/snowy.2. In pairs, students check if they can read the five words correctly.3. Read after the tape together and in groups. Practice1. Check Show the pictures of the weather, check if the students grasp the words. Choose in random, students practice over and over again.2. ChantPlay a chant about weather words. Students listen for the first time. Read the chant after the tape and check together. Clap the rhythm while chant for the second time. Chant with the accompaniment. Consolidation and development1. Game timeShow the PPT, here we have eight choices, theres a picture after each one, but we dont know what they are. Each group choose one opinion, talk and describe the weather with the words we know. Each group choose one student to report. Then everyone should be able to challenge.
