At the end of the show, all the exhibitors commented that it had been most successful. Lezzeni claimed “The best ever”.4. Apart from the SSM UNIPLEX, there were no major innovations this time, although the Electrojet Speed frame is worthy of special mention.5. Other Observations:Foreign fibre detection is still “the flavour of the month”; with more companies becoming involved.Nearly all ring frame manufacturers are offering optional slubbing mechanisms, made easy by introduction of servo motors for the drafting system drives.There seems to be a revival of interest in reelling machines, new models by Motocono, R.I.T.E., and Fadis.There were some very good stands by Indian exhibitors (L.M.W., Premier, I.C.C.) who were showing equipment which is available., not just prototypes.6. Due to the size of the exhibition, inevitably I shall have omitted something. Apologies if you have waited 4 years for “the one that got away”.7.
