Ways to Relax at Free Time among Young Higher Educational PersonJessie Wenhui li 11001825 University of BradfordAbstractDue to the rapidly development of the world, people have longer holidays than ever and the lifestyles are changed. As a result, the length of holiday and ways to relax vary from person to person. It is more and more important for person to get better ways to relax in the holidays. The aim of this questionnaire was investigating how young person in higher education relax themselves at free time, so that more ways can be found and suggested to others. Ten stochastic young person in higher education were invited to answer these questions. Most of them are satisfied with the length of their holidays. And indoor ways are more popular than outdoor ways among them. This suggests that people can find valuable and useful resource to help themselves to avoid, or at least reduce unnecessary tension in their life.Introduction In this increasingly developed world, it is believed that the average of ones free time is increasing. There are three types of free time in ones life. The first type is the free time workdays, people may work serval hours in workdays and the other time is the free time. The second type is the weekends. The last one is the long holidays.In the short free time, people almost choose some indoor ways to relax, such as watching TV, searching the Internet, listening to music and reading some books. In the weekends, most people may choose a day trip, doing sports, or going to cinema. And during the long holidays, travelling is the popular ways to relax. However, are person satisfied of their holidays? And do they have other useful ways to reduce tension? In this study, these two parts were investigating. The first question was how the person think about their holidays. Secondly, it investigated that the ways they commonly use to relax in the holidays.MethodTen stochastic young person in higher education were invited to fill the questionnaire forms, the place to find them is the international center at University of Bradford. Their ages are between 18 and 30.There are two kinds of questions were designed, the closed questions and the open questions. From the closed questions, it obtained the information about ages, the length of holidays and the frequency of common ways to relax. Then, other useful ways were suggested from the open questions.The results were displayed using pie charts and bar graphs in order to aid analysis. ResultsFirstly, Figure 1 and Figure 2 show the information about how long holidays do they have in one year and do they think they are enough? These two questions are about the holiday. Eight of them have about two months holiday a year, and the other two person have more than four months holiday. Eight of them think the length of their holidays are enough. Then, the Figure 3 shows the most common ways to relax and the frequency that they used to choose in a year. Sports, as the Figure 3 shows, are the most popular common ways to choose by young person, 5 person do sports 2-6times a week, 3person do sports once a month.Cinema is still a common way to spend the time, half of them go to a cinema once a week. Going to a Bars or Clubs to reduced tension is not popular among higher educational person. Next, for the short free time in everyday, many indoor ways are popular, 6 person watch TV, 7 person do some reading, 7 person listen to music and 8 person use their computers everyday. Finally, from the open question, more valuable and useful ways were mentioned, such as sleeping, eating, shopping, taking bath, talking with families. Figure 1 :Figure 2 :Figure 3 :DiscussionThe purpose of the study was to investigate whether young person in higher education were satisfied with their holidays, and they have their own ways to relax. It can be clearly seen from the results that most young higher educational person are satisfied with their holidays and they can choose their own ways to reduce tension. ConclusionRecent years, people have to take more responsibilities and stress in the increasing development, as a result,reasonably spending the holidays in reducing tension can maintain their health.
