Teaching procedures:Step 1 Warming-up Role-play a conversation between a waiter and a customer.Step 2 Presentation 1)Teach the new words (Show the picture in 1a.) Suppose that were having a party now. There are lots of delicious food on the table. Ask the students if they know them. Then lead Them read these words one by one. 2) Activity 1a. Match the words with the pictures. 3) Activity 1b. Circle the things you like in 1a. Put an next to the things you dont like. Then tell your partner what you like and dont like. Then point to the speech bubbles and ask two students to read the dialogue. Explain a language point: I like dumplings, fish and orange juice. 我喜欢饺子、鱼和橙汁。 I dont like onions, green tea or porridge. 我不喜欢洋葱、绿茶和粥。 此句中的and和or都可用作连词,来连接并列成分,意为“和”。and一般用于肯定句,or用于否定句和疑问句。如果此句中有三个或三个以上的成分时,and和or只连接最后两个词,其他并列成分用逗号连接。如: I like English and Chinese. 我喜欢英语和语文。 Tom doesnt like English or Chinese. Tom不喜欢英语和语文。 What would you like to eat, apple, orange or pear? 你想吃什么,苹果、橘子还是梨?注意:在否定句中,如果连接的两个词前都有否定词时,则要用and,而不用or。如:It has no arms or no legs. (错误)It has no arms and legs. I dont like.Step 3 Practice: Listening activity Before listening: look at the form in 1c and guess whats the conversation about. While listening: listen and complete the food order form. (play the tape twice) After listening: Check the answers together and repeat after the tape.Step 4 Consolidation Invite some students to role-play the conversation to the class.Step 5 Summary In this period, weve learnt some new words about some food and drink by matching the words with the correct pictures. Then weve learnt how to show our preference of food. Besides, weve done some listening to fill in the order form.
