Emotion Manners: Be active in class activities.Learning Strategies:1.To cooperate well with others in group work.2.Communicate with others actively.Cultural Awareness:To know some table manners. 教学重点1.Enable students to pronounce and understand the three new words:chopsticks,fork,knife.2.Focus on communication.3.Enable students to get known about the different table manners between Chinese people and western people.教学难点1. Enable students to understand the sentence:Help yourself.2. Guide students to communicate with their partners about food and tableware.教学方法1. Audio Lingual Method.2. Communicative Approach.3. Audio-Visual Teaching Method.教具学具Food,bowls,forks,knifes,chopsticks,head wears.PPT,some videos.教学过程设计意图 I Warming up 1.Sing a song What Would You Like.When students sing the song,they may stand up and clap hands. 2.Free talk. I feel thirty.Id like some water. What would you like?II Presentation 1.Watch the video about the dialogue with two questions: Q1:How many people are there? Q2:What are they doing? 2.Answer the questions. 3.Watch the video for a second time with another question:Can Mike use chopsticks? Answer the question. Illustrate chopsticks:sticks chop chopsticks with PPT and real chopsticks. Teach students to read the word. Ask ans answer with real food and chopsticks: Would you like an apple? Would you like chopsticks? Encourage students to find more tableware in the dialogue:fork,knife,spoon ,plate. Write the sentence on the board. 4.Sentence drills with some real food and tableware. Would you like chopsticks? Yes,please. (No,thanks.I can use a knife and fork.) 5.Write the key sentences on the board.III Practice 1.Listen and repeat. Use some oranges to demonstrate the sentence: Help yourself. 2.Follow the video to read. 3.Students read the dialogue freely. 4. Have students read the dialogue together. 5.Students read the dialogue in roles. 6.Teacher demonstrates to act the dialogue with head wears. 7.Invite some students to act the dialogue.IV Production 1.Have students watch a video about having dinner with a foreign friend. 2.Ask some questions about the video: What would he like? Can he use chopsticks well? 3.Have students communicate with their partners about dinner and tableware according to the sentence frames shown on the screen. What would you like? Id like some rice. Would you like a knife? No,thanks. Would you like chopsticks? Yes,please. 4.Invite some volunteers to perform their dialogue with real food and tableware.V Extension 1.Have students watch a video about table manners first.Then encourage them to talk about some table manners they got. 2.After watching,ask a question: How can we place the tableware? 3.Demonstrate to place the tableware,and have students talk about it. 4.Educate students to keep good manners at table.VI Homework 1.Find more different table manners between Chinese people and Western people.查找中西方餐桌礼仪的不同之处。 2.Make your own dialogue with your parents at dinner time.晚餐时,用所学的重点句型和家人朋友进行对话交流。用歌曲把孩子们的注意力拉来到课堂上,并且激发兴趣。复习旧知识,承接新知识。带着任务学习,以确保本次的观看和听音是有效的。这个问题的设计就引出了本节课最重要的知识点。了解新词的构成及来历。打破惯性思维:不是任何情况下都可以使用筷子。老师引导,学生自己观察思考就是最好的学习方法。用真实的食物和餐具进行口语的练习,让孩子们切实感受到不同食物使用不同餐具。听音跟读的目的是为了模仿语音语调。为后面的角色扮演做好准备。学生自由朗读,独立感知对话。然后齐读,分角色读,完全熟悉文本之后再进行表演,这样就降低了表演时的难度。用生活中和外国朋友用餐的视频进行示范,这样的情境比较真实,也为后面的语言输出做好示范。在感知视频之后,给孩子们一个大致的框架作为参考来进行独立的语言输出。因为班里的孩子口语水平是不一样的,有一部分孩子是需要老师提供这样的帮助的。小学英语学习的主要目的是综合语言运用能力。通过视屏了解西方的一些餐桌礼仪,有益于培养国际意识。在生活中孩子们是有可能享用西餐的,所以让他们了解餐具的摆放位置,了解中西方的不同文化。进一步了解西方国家的饮食习惯及餐桌礼仪。把课堂所学的知识转入到日常生活中来,真正做到学以致用。板书设计 Unit 5 Dinners Ready! No,thanks.I can use a knife and fork. 设计自评 新课标总目标首先指出:通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力,促进心智发展,提高综合人文素养。本课内容是人教版四年级上册的Unit5的B部分Lets Talk。主要讲了餐桌的礼仪方面的知识。我主要用真实的餐具和食物进行了情景的模拟,激发了学生的参与性,不但学习了语言知识,了解了餐桌礼仪的知识,更是了解了中西方餐饮文化的差异。本课亮点:1.情境创设真实有趣。我用真实的食物和餐具进行语言的学习和再输出。学生在较真实的语境中能够更好地理解文本,已便更有效的语言输出。2.学生的学习效果达到了预设的目标。3.拓展部分的视频给学生的指引较真实有效。存在问题:1.在操练活动的设计方面创新不够。2.在拓展部分给孩子们的展示时间不是很
