Ask students what “V-ing”is and then analyse the present progressive tense.2. Then tell the students how to change the verb into the V-ing and ask students to make two sentences by using the present progressive tense.eg.T: What are you doing ?S: I am doing homework.(Help him/her to answer)Teach:playing basketball, reading a book, cleaning the classroomStep3Presentation(Task 1)1.Ask students to have a try and change the verb phrases into the V-ing phrases.2.Ask students to finish 1a then check the answers. Then lead students to read the phrases.Step4 Listening Practice (Task 2)1. Ask students to listen to the tape and answer what the people are doing.2. Ask three students to check the check the answers.3. Then lead students to read the dialogue we have listened twice.Step5 Practice 1c1. First lead students to read the example conversation.2. Then put students into pairs to make conversations by using the pictures in 1a.3. Ask some pairs to show their conversations.Step6 Play a guessing game.
