Unit 10 Youare supposed to shake hands.Section A (3a-4c)Teaching and Learning Goals:一、语言知识(常用词汇、短语和表达) :Learn and use the following vocabularies: relaxed, value, drop by, capital, after all, get mad, make an effort, passport, clean.off, chalk, coast, season, knock, eastern, take off, worth.二、语言功能:能够熟练谈论不同国家的习俗和你在当地被期望做某事。三、学习策略:能借助记笔记和概括大意的方式使用语言的短时记忆迁移到长期记忆。四、情感态度:了解各国文化背景、礼仪习俗,学会在不同的场合表现得体,提升跨文化意识。 【设计意图】目标引领,三维目标概括本课的主要的知识、能力和情感目标。Teaching and Learning Steps:Step I: Pre-reading: Preview Look at P75 and put the following into English orally. And then, write them down without looking at the word list. Phrases: Translate the phrases. 1.放松的;自由的 2.重视;珍视 3.顺便访问, 4.首都 5.毕竟;终归 6. 大动肝火 7.作出努力 8.护照 9.把.擦掉_10.粉笔_ 11.海岸;海滩_12.脱下 ;起飞 Sentences: Translate the sentences 1.在我所来的地方,我们对时间的要求相当宽松。_2.我们珍视在日常生活中和家人与朋友一起度过的时光。_3.我们通常只是在城镇中心散步,尽可能多的见见我们的朋友。我_4.在瑞士,准时非常重要。_5、 毕竟,我们是钟表之国。_【设计意图】学生自学本课所涉及的重要词组,句子,为下面更好的学习目标语言做准备。教师通过检查预习,让学生快速说出短语和句型,了解学生对课本知识的掌握情况,为下一步的教学做铺垫。1. Do they usually make plans to see friends in Switzerland ?_(再次读的环节目的是让学生进一步巩固所学的内容,真正了解文章所包含的意义,并会灵活运用。以达到融会贯通的目的。)【设计意图】细读过程分为三个任务。让学生在了解课文大意之后把握一些细节性的内容。能够更深刻透彻的掌握课文内容。Step III Post-readingTask 1: Listen and read loudly following the tape recording【设计意图】让学生听录音跟读正音,旨在调动眼视听众感官深刻体会文章内容,更主要的是让学生通过跟读培养学生的语音语调,学着读出真正的地道的英语。并对学生掌握不准的词汇的读音进行学习或纠正。Task 2:Retell the text according to picture.eColombia relaxed about time.SwiterlandBe on time【设计意图】使用思维树给出关键词让学生复述出所学内容,是语言的输出任务。学生通过速读、细读回答完问题,又经过跟读和朗读大量的语言输入后,再进行复述。进一步提高学生的综合运用语言的能力。Step IV Grammar focus.Task 1: Discussion 1.Ask Ss to translate the phrases.(1)be relaxed about(2) rush around(3)a little late (4)go to ones house for dinner (5)arrive a bit late (6)in everyday lives (7)drop by ones home3. Youre not supposed to kiss.What are people in Korea supposed to do when they meet for the first time?Theyre supposed to bow._When were you supposed to arrive?I was supposed to arrive at 7:00.Am I supposed to wear jeans?Its very important to be on time.It is polite for boys to shake hands and for girls to kiss each other on the side of the face._“be supposed to”的用法1. be supposed to意为“应该;被期望/期待; 理应”,用来表示根据规定人们不得不做某事,或期待发生某事,时态、人称和句式的变化在be上体现,to为不定式符号,后接动词原形。2. be supposed to do的否定式,要在be后加not, 此时相当于be not allowed to do, 意为“不被许可;不应当”。_3. 如果表达“过去某时应该(不应该)做”时,用was (wasnt) / were (werent) supposed to do, 相当于should (shouldnt) have+动词过去分词。_be supposed to do sth. “应该做某事”, 某人被期望做某事, 主语通常是人, 相当于be expected to do sth.,常用来提出建议,其否定结构为be not supposed to do sth.。 Youre supposed to get there early. 你应该早点到那儿。 Youre not supposed to smoke here. 你们不应该在这里吸烟 拓展:当be supposed to的主语为“物”时,意为“本应,本该”,表示某事本应该发生而没有发生。 The train was supposed to arrive ten minutes ago. 火车应该在十分钟前到达。当be supposed to的主语是人时,后面还可以接“have + 过去分词”,意为“本应,应该”,表示本应该做某事而没做。 You are supposed to have arrived in Beijing now. 你本应该现在已经到了北京了。 _【设计意图】(目的让学生读出理解be supposed to的用法及其结构并会运用他们) Task 2: What are you supposed to do when you see an old man fall down?Were supposed to What are you supposed to do when you see a thief stealing someones wallet?Were supposed to What are you supposed to do when you find rubbish everywhere?Were supposed to Task3: 【设计意图】通过前面对的归纳总结 采用小组调查的方式,能进一步掌握定语从句的运用,练习了学生的说的能力,属于语言的输出环节。Step V Inquiry into knowledge by translation用所给词的适当形式填空1.
