The analysis of the teaching material.This lesson is Grammar-passive voice and subject and verb agreement from Module1,book3.By studying this part, learn more about passive voice, meanwhile according to the sentences, pay attention to subject and verb agreement, offer some information about Europe and use passive voice to write the passage.2. Teaching aims.语言知识:能理解被动语态的语用情境及句子中的主谓一致。语言技能:通过语法的学习,培养抽象思维能力。语言运用:能运用各种时态的被动语态,表达施动者缺省的语句。文化意识:能进一步形成开放的文化态度,了解欧洲的文化情感态度:有正确的英语学习动机,明确英语的学习目的是为了沟通与表达。学习策略:通过对语法难点的分析,培养英汉对比分析策略和抽象思维能力归纳理解被动语态及主谓一致的用法。3. The analysis of the students. The students have known something about “passive voice”, but they are lack of the ability of using passive voice. They dont often use English to communicate with others. Some students are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes.Part2: My teaching theories, methods and aidsBefore dealing with this lesson, Ill do my best to carry out the following theories. Teaching theories:1. Make the students the real masters in class while the teacher myself act as director.2. Combine grammar rules with the grammar functions.3. Let the students receive some moral education while learning the English language.Teaching methods: Students-centered method, task-based method, free discussion., writing-and-reading activity etc.Teaching aids: multimedia, the blackboard etc.Part3: Teaching stepsI have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially writing ability. The entire steps are : greeting, game, lead-in, preparation for grammar, discussion, writing, competition, acting, summary and homework. Lets present the whole procedure.Greet the whole class, divide the students into two groups, Lead them say some countries they want to visit. And then show five pictures of the countries. Learn about some information of the Europe and lead them to make sentences with passive voice. Tell the students:“We have visited some countries” is active voice while “some countries have been visited by us” is passive voice. Now according to the reading passage and answer the questions when they answer questions, they should use the passive voice, there are four questions and four pictures. Explain the structure of the passive voice, do Activity1, page5 and answer the questions. According to these questions, explain the passive voice to the students. Tell a joke with their partner about the differences between the active voice and the passive voice, then sum up with a form. Then have a competition, let students write a passage with passive voice, pay attention to the subject and verb agreement. Give them five minutes to write, before writing, let them discuss how to use passage voice. Then one student of group one read his passage, then one student of group two count how many sentences with passive voice, If he is wrong, he will sing a song. Which group win, which group will have a chance to act a programme. Then ask a student to summarize what we have learned. Homework is
