Teaching material analysis1) Status and functionThis unit mainly talks about decision making. The Ss are supposed to talk about consequence using “if”. This is the second period and is mainly about the class party. 2)Teaching aims and demands Knowledge ObjectsKey words and phrases: video ,organize , potato , chocolateThe target language: If do /does ., will do . Ability ObjectsTo learn to talk about consequence using “if”.To develop Ss listening and speaking abilities Moral Objects To teach the ss the usage of “ if ” and encourage the Ss to work hard and never give up.3 ) Teaching Key Points and Teaching DifficultiesTeaching Key Points : To train the Ss to listen for the detailed information and talk about consequences using “if”.Teaching Difficulty: How to enable the Ss to master the usage of “ if ”、Analysis of the students The students have learnt English for more than one year. They know some English, but they are in desperate need of training of listening and speaking. So as a teacher, I must make sure the students are learning by using. Teaching procedures Pre-reading1. Lead-in by pictures and questionsGreet the ss and ask : What are you going to do this weekend?(Purpose: To draw the Ss attention to this class and lead in the topic.)2. warming up (2a)Show a picture of Mark and Nelly to pave the way for listening.3. discussion before listeningDiscuss the aspects of the class party (Purpose: to guide the Ss to focus on the detailed information.)While listening4.
