Aims on knowledge: to listen, speak and write words of seasons(seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter) and weather(warm, hot, cool, cold); 2. Aims on ability: to be able to ask others and express ones own favourite seasons and the reasons; 3. Aims on emotion: to study in groups and foster the abilities of cooperation and communication.Teaching Important and Difficult Points 1. Important points: to learn new words and expressions about seasons and weather; 2. Difficult points: to express ones likes and dislikes by use of learned words and sentence styles.Teaching Aids PPT,cards & pictures .Teaching MethodsSituational Teaching Method, Communicative Language Teaching, Co-operating Study Method & Task-based Language Method.Teaching Procedures Step 1 Warming up & Revision 1. Greetings 2. Say the birthday chant 3. Free talks: T: When is Tobys birthday? Ss: Tobys birthday is in July. When is your birthday,.? Its in . ./In . .(导入环节首先通过说歌谣不仅复习月份单词和句型,而且也活跃了课堂气氛,引起学生的兴趣;然后通过歌谣的提示,学生回答Toby的生日是在七月份,接着询问学生的生日,让学生自己进行问答接龙,每个回答问题的学生都可以问和答。) Step 2 Presentation & Practice 1.Pupils watch a short vedio and try to guess what it is about, then learn word “season(s)”. 2.T: There are 12 months in a year. How many seasons are there in a year? Ss: Four. T: Yes. We can divide months into four parts. (The teacher shows pictures on the screen and tell out four parts, and learn words of seasons. The teacher sums up that “There are four seasons in a year.They are spring, summer, autumn and winter”. ) 3. With the help of pictures and cards, we learn new words and phrases about seasons. New words: warm, hot, cool, farmers, busy, cold, snow Phrases:fly a kite, plant trees; go swimming, have ice-cream; make a snowman, have snow fights 4. Pupils look at information on board and talk about seasons with Partners during learning each new word and phrases. For example:I like spring. I can fly a kite. I dont like summer. Its hot. (The teacher gives an example and let pupils mime to express like this “I can swim in summer, but I dont like summer, because it is hot in summer. Do you like .?” The pupils try to say “I like . . I can . . Its . .”.) 5. Listen and number the pictures.(Part 9a) 6. The teacher talks about “What colors are the seasons?” with pupils. Then read and appreciate the poem, then do the crossword.(Part8) 7. Groupwork: What is your favourite season? Talk about it with classmates.(新授与操练环节结合,让学生在学中练练中巩固,现学现练有利于提高学习效率;并且借助于图片和单词词组卡片辅助教学,直观有吸引力且易于理解和记忆。) Step 3 Production 1. Ask and answer:Whats your favourite season?/Do you like .?/Is . your favourite season? 2. Oral composition: My favourite season(操练后的展示环节要求学生对所学内容知识进行师生或生生问答对话表演,进一步巩固所学,从而达到学以致用;另外让学生通过对话练习并结合实际将句子组织成小语篇进行口头作文,为以后的书面小作文做铺垫。) Step 4 Homework 1. Write a short composition about your favourite season. 2. Draw a picture of your favourite season.(课后
