How to grow up with Olympic championsGood evening,my dear teachers. Frist of all, please allow me to express my appreciation for the opportunity to give this short speech.Secondly, let me do a brief self-introduction. My name is XXX,a vavacious,clining and optimistic girl from Grade 2,Class xxx. Like most teenages, I enjoy singing very much, I feel comfrotable when I listen to the music or sing beatiful songs. Also, I like playing sports with my friends, such as table tennis and bedminton.If the sun is shining,I would like to go hiking or bike riding. In my spare time,I could be a calm and rational person. Reading books is very enjoyable for me ,espeicially some famous novel, such as :Jane Eyer,Don Quixote,and Wuthering Heights,etc. As for my study , I am intrested in every subjects,especially some science lessons. I am hard-working,believing “Nothing in the world can take place of persistence”. I dream to be swifter,higher and stronger in my study,I think “If I can dream it,I can do it”.So you know ,this is me.As we all know,the three words “swifter,higer and stronger”I mentioned above are the description of Olympic Spirit.It has become a hot topic and the higtlight of our concern.I am much honored to give this speech about “Grow up with Olympic champions ,grow up with champions spirit”.As far as I am concerned, growing up means you have some precious characters. So,if we can make learn something from champions, we make great progress.Frist things first, I think the most valueble quality from the champions,is “Teamwok”. We need team spirit, and we couldnt succeed if no cooperation.Champions need teammates and coach,like we need parents and teachers.For instence, we can still remember in 2008 Olympic games,our country won the championship of team gymnastics due to 5 athletes efforts. In mordern society ,team-work become a basic requirement for our survival. A man who is good at team-work,he can respect others,especially his opponents,and a excellent mentality is the key for us to grow up and develop swifter. Whatmore, I believe every Olympic champion have certain aim. and purcue exllence ,great hopes make great man.It is unforgetable that Liu Xiang broke the world record in 2004 Athens Olympics. Before the final competition,he still said”Anyway,Ill try my best”.The goal is his aim, and whats our aim? Living without a aim is like sailing without a compass, there is a way if there is a will. My aim is to do well in the national college entrance examination next year,personally I think,going to a good college also means “growing up”. So, I should exercise more for this aim.Last but not least,I fully agree that champions will never give up whatever have happened. The strongest people arenot always people who win ,but the people who donot give up when they lose. Du Li, one of my favorite athletes.She is strong girl who could ajust herself at such a short time and got another gold medal after the first failure. Her event impressed me deeply and make me realize that:the quality of determination to succeed is very important and it is obvious that fail in our first attempt of something is not unusual, so we should not feel dicouraged and try again.We may fail in one exam,but if we keep trying,there is always a chance that we will succeed at last.I believe Ill be a persistant and strong person by studying the spirit of champions.All in all, we can stand on a higher platform and grow up swifter if we have stronger will.
