Unit2 What time is it?Part B Lets talk黄桥镇中心小学赵梓妤Unit 2 What time is it?Part B Lets talk Good afternoon, everyone. Its my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is PEP primary English, Book 4 Unit 2 What time is it? Part B Lets talk. Now ,I will explain the lesson from the following aspects:Part 1 Let me talk about the Analysis of teaching material. This unit is about a time topic. The main content are the time expression and the description of activities at different time. The main sentences are: “What time is it?”, “Its”,“It time for ”, “Its time to”. These are relate to the Ss real life. So the teacher should contact the Ss real life in teaching and guide them to use the language in the real situation. Part 2 The analysis of the students.Our Ss are in Grade 4. They are active and interested in the new things, they also have some basic English background knowledge, so the teacher should provide them chances of using language.Part 3 It is about the Analysis of teaching aims According to the new curriculum standard and syllabus, and after studying the facts of Ss, I set the teaching aims as follows:1. Ss can listen and speak the following words and sentences : “thirty ”, “hurry”, “Its time to get up.”, “Hurry up.”, “Breakfast is ready.”, “Its time for English class.”, “Im ready.”.2. Ss can use the sentences to communicate with others in the real situation.3. To cultivate Ss concept of time.Next Part 4 the analysis of the key and the difficult points The key points of this lesson is to listen and speak the main words and sentences: hurry/thirty .Its 6:30/Its time to get up./Breakfast is ready./Its time for English class./Im ready.The difficult points of this lesson to use the words and sentences in their daily communication.Part 5 Lets move on the another part the analysis of the teaching methodsInthislesson,Iwillmainlyuse“Task-basedteachingmethod”,“Communicativelanguageteachingmethod”and“Game-playingteachingmethod” andsoon.Part 6 Lets focus on the analysis of teaching procedures, I will finish this part in 6 steps.Step1 warming upAfter greeting with the Ss ,I will begin the lesson by singing a song for students and reviewing the number words. The purpose of this is to attract students attention and form a better English learning surrounding.Step2 presentationBefore I present the dialogue , I will create a real situation to present the words and phrases in the dialogue :thirty ;hurry ;get up; go to school. This task is to arouse Ss interest in learning English and help Ss understand the dialogue easily and naturally.Step3 PracticeIn this step, I will ask Ss to listen to the tape with the questions and encourage them to imitate to read the dialogue. Meanwhile, Ill guide them to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Then, Ill use the game big small voice and role play to drill the sentences in the dialogue. The purpose of this is to draw the Ss attention to the reading of the dialogue and increase their interest in their English learning. Step4 ConsolidationIll give Ss a task that is to make their own timetable and discuss the timetable with their partners. Then Ill encourage them to act out their timetable by the main sentences we have learnt today. Task-based teaching method and communicative language teaching method are used here. The purpose of this activity is to develop Ss ability of communication, and also, their ability of cooperation will be well developed.Step5 ConclusionIn this step, Ill guide the Ss to conclude the main words and sentences of this lesson, to educate them to treasure time and manage their time properly. At the same time tell them: “To choose time is to save time. Forming a good habit is good for your health.”Step6 HomeworkTry to make a dialogue in the sentences they have learnt on this class.Is this the ending of my lesson? Certainly not!The last but important part of my lesson is the analysis of blackboard design. My blackboard design is mainly about the core words and sentences: “hurry”, “thirty”, “Its time to get up.”, “Hurry up.”, “Breakfast is ready.”, “Its time for English class.”, “Im ready.”.It can help Ss master the key words and sentences of this lesson easily and simply.
