Unit 3 Families celebrate togetherLesson 17 Presents from Canada 教材分析本课的教学内容是第三单元的第五课时, 内容主要涉及为朋友准备礼物。在课前让学生准备好硬纸板, 课上制作生日卡片, 学习生日贺卡的书写和怎样邮寄礼物。课上可以让学生通过情景展示, 以小组合作的形式, 要求学生用英语介绍, 通过活动掌握本课的要点, 以增强学生的实际运用能力。 教学目标【知识与能力目标】记忆单词tape, post, yet, address, top, stamp短语best wishes to, on the top of, have no luck。 学生通过学习, 掌握生日卡片的内容和邮寄物品的方法。【过程与方法目标】Reading and speaking【情感态度价值观目标】在训练学生阅读技能的基础上, 培养学生跨文化意识, 提高他们的文化修养。 教学重难点【教学重点】掌握单词tape, post, yet, address, top, stamp, 接触单词thirteen, 学习短语best wishes to, on the top of, have no luck等。2. 重要句子:Best wishes to you on your thirteenth birthday. He writes Li Mings address on the top of the box. All ready! She goes to look for stamps, but she has no luck. 【教学难点】通过情景教学和任务型阅读, 提高学生的听、说、读、写能力。 课前准备图片, PPT 教学过程Step . Lead inLeading in 【情景1】T: Whose birthday is today in our class?Ss: (Someones birthday is today.) T: Have you give him/her some wishes for his/her birthday?Then let them make a birthday card for him/her after class. At this time the teacher tells them Danny, Jenny and Brian are doing the same thingmaking birthday cards. Li Mings birthday is coming. They will send these cards and presents to China. 设计意图本课故事的主线是生日礼物和生日卡片, 为导入新课, 询问是否有学生过生日, 进行问答, 练习句型。Leading in 【情景2】Show the class a birthday card. T: Here is a birthday card I got for my birthday. Ask the Ss to answer the questions. (1) Have you ever sent a birthday card?(2) What do people usually write in birthday cards?T: In this lesson, Danny, Jenny and Brian are going to send the cards and presents to China. Lets find out what they write to Li Ming. 设计意图 让学生讨论生日卡片, 明白在卡片上写哪些内容。Step . Listening 1. Play the audiotape for Lesson 17 (Presents from Canada!) . Ask the students to listen to the passage and answer the questions. (1) What does Jenny write in her card?(2) Where do they go to mail the box?【Keys】(1) Happy Birthday, Li Ming! From your friend, Jenny. (2) They go to the post office. 2. Play the audiotape a second time. Ask the students to listen and tick the sentences that DO NOT belong in Exercise 1. Check the answers as a class and point out the different subjects. 设计意图 播放课文的录音, 目的是激发学生的兴趣, 让学生锻炼听力, 同时使学生在脱离汉语干扰的情况下, 用英语思考, 从而理解课文。Step . Reading1. Read the passage and answer the questions. (1) What are Jenny and Danny making for Li Ming?(2) What is Brian doing here?(3) What do they write on the box?(4) What do they forget when they want to mail the box?【Keys】(1) Making birthday cards. (2) Brian is helping them. (3) They write Li Mings address on the top of the box. (4) They forget the stamps. 2. Read it again and find out the key phrases and sentences. 教材解读1. They are going to send the cards and presents to China. send sth. to some place意思是“把某物送/寄到某地”。send sth. to sb. 或send sb. sth. 意思是“给某人送/寄某物”, 为双宾语结构。I will send my grandmother a gift/send a gift to my grandmother on her birthday. 祖母生日时我要送给她一份礼物。2. Best wishes to you on your thirteenth birthday. best wishes to sb. 意思是“向某人致最美好的祝愿”。其中 wish 为名词, 用复数形式;wish 还可以作动词。Best wishes to your parents. 向你的父母致以最美好的祝愿。I wish you a long life. 我祝你长寿。3. “Not yet!” says Danny. yet用于否定句中, 意思是“还, 仍旧”, 在现在完成时的句子中, already常用于肯定句中, yet常用于否定句和疑问句中。4. He writes Li Mings address on the top of the box. on the top of意思是“在顶部”。There is some snow on the top of the mountain. 山顶上有些雪。5. She goes to look for stamps, but she has no luck. have no luck意为“不走运”。【拓展】luck n. 运气; lucky adj. 幸运的; unlucky adj. 不幸的;luckily adv. 幸运地;unluckily adv. 不幸地设计意图学习知识的最佳途径是由自己去发现。教师指导学生如何去发现, 培养学生乐于学习的习惯。Step .
