Master the key sentences: (1).-Is David tall or short? -He is tall. (2).Well,he has brown hair and wears glasses.Teaching focus: Master the new words and key sentences.Difficult points: 1. Be able to understand and use the simple present tense. 2. Can use “is” and “has” to describe the persons appearance.Teaching process:Step1.Warm-up: 1. Review the words. 2. Role-play: A: What does he look like? B: He/She is . He/She has .Step2.Listening: 1.Walk on 2a. (1). Understand the meaning of the three choice questions. (2). Play the first time, students think about these questions. (3). Play the second time, answer the questions:Q1: Is David tall or short?Q2: Does Sally have long or short hair?Q3: Is Peter tall or short? 2. Walk on 2b. (1). Listen again, fill in the chart. (2). Check the answers: 3. Ask and answer like this: -What does David look like: -He is . And he has .Step3.Group work: Student A looks at the chart in 2b, student B asks A questions about one of the people and then draw a picture of the person. They are using these words to describe David, Sally and Peter in the chart. Some of these words go with has and some go with is.Step4.Role-play. 1. Play the tape, and read loudly. 2.Language points: (1). a little意为“有点”,相当于a bit,修饰形容词或副词,在句中作表语,还可修饰不可数名词,意为“一点儿”。 (2). Well , he has brown hair and wears glasses. (3).
