Unit 6 An old man tried to move the mountains.Section A 3a3cTeaching Plan Teaching ideology Based on student-oriented teaching method,this reading class will be divided into two parts“fast-reading, careful-reading”. The motivation of students study is based on the detail exercises. The process of finishing the exercises acts as the process of learning. Make the students learn to study by practicing and use in practice. Pay more attention to the students life and experience. Encourage students to take part in all kinds of practice actively. Improve students confidence and reading speed and efficiency by getting new skills The AnalysisofTeaching material1、The passage is come from the second volume for grade eights students .Unit 6 This unit is about telling a story. It aims at providing a happy ,relax communication atmosphere. By getting reading skills and commutative skills improve students language ability2、Teaching material:warming-up 1. Who are they? 2. In which book are they the main characters? 3. Which character do you like best? Using these three questions to motivate students reading motivation. Then finish task 3b and 3c.3、This passage mainly introduces the book Journey to the West. The passage consists of 3 paragraphs. The first paragraph is a general introduction of the book Journey to the West. Para.2 introduces the character Monkey. The last paragraph tells about the influence of the book. The topic is not new to the Ss. But there is some new words and phrases in the passageThe analysis of learning conditionThe students are from grade2 in Junior school. As Junior school students, they have achieved certain English level and they have the ability to get the basic idea of the reading. Since they are in grade2, they are easily activated and want to air their own opinions on the topic. They are familiar with the topic of the book Journey to the West and know some the stories about Monkey. But they may not know how to writing story before. Moreover, their vocabulary is limited so they may have difficulties in understanding some sentences.
