In this unit, we mainly talk about how to learn to describe a process of making food. The Target language is to review the Imperative sentences and how many / how much sentences. Through the study of this period, we can cultivate the students operational ability and comprehensive language ability. Teaching aims:Knowledge object: Help students learn the new words-blender, turn on, cut up, peel, pour, yogurt, ingredientTarget language (Help students learn to describe a process and learn to follow instructions.)Ability objects: Listening skill Speaking skill Writing skill Cooperating skillMoral object: Love is everywhere. Teaching key points:(1)Learn to describe a process and follow instructions.(2)Learn the structures and usages of imperative sentences.(3)Review and consolidate the usage of countable and uncountable nouns.Teaching difficulties: (1)Learn to describe a process and follow instructions.(2)The usage of countable and uncountable nouns.Teaching methods:Task-based teaching method communicative teaching methodTeaching aids: computer, a bag, tape recorder and so on.Teaching procedure:Step1: Leading-inT: Im very happy to be your new teacher today. I have some gifts for you, do you want to get them?Invite students to play a guessing game. Put the gifts I want to give them in the small bag, ask them to touch them and try to guess what they are. While playing games, help them learn the new words, yogurt, peel, pour, cut up.Step 2: PresentationT: we always peel bananas and eat bananas. Do you think we can drink bananas? Today we are going to learn Unit 8 How do you make a banana milk shake?T: Look at the pictures on the screen, what do we need if we want to make a banana milk shake? Ask students to answer my questions. Write down bananas, milk and ice cream on the blackboard.T: Now we have the ingredients. But only ingredients are not enough, we also need a blender. And we should know these verbs put, drink, peel, pour, cut up and turn on.Ask students to read the new words.Help the students do the matching exercise. Match the verbs with the nouns. Then ask them fill in the blanks according to the pictures.Step 3 Group workAsk students to work in groups to finish the tasks.Task 1 Open the letter A, put the sentences in the right order.Task 2 Open the letter B, put the key words between the sentences.Task 3 One student describe the process, the other students follow instructions.Step 4 Listening practiceT: We talked about two ways to enjoy the bananas, do you know other ways to enjoy the bananas? T: Now Maria and Katie are making fruit salad, lets listen to the tape and try to write down what ingredients they need.Ask students to compare the words next to How much and How many, let them give more countable nouns and uncountable nouns.Listen again and do the activity 2b.Step 5 Make our own fruit salad.T: After listening, can you make fruit salad now? You can choose anything you like to make your own fruit salad.Ask students to work in groups to talk about how they make fruit salad.Step 6 DIYT: I have learned a lot today, so I will give you some gifts to show my thanks.
