Unit 2 How often do you exercise?Section A 1 (1a-2d)昌黎县第四中学 赵蕾一、概述本课是人教版新目标英语八年级上册Unit 2 How often do you exercise?中的Section A第一课时,本课主要从学生生活实际出发,联系学生所学,对教材进行合理的整合并适当提升,通过Co-operating、Discussing、Listening、和Role-playing等多种活动,复习旧知,联系新知,丰富学生的词句,训练学生的听说能力,提高学生的语言综合运用能力。一、教学目标:1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词:housework, hardly,exercise, ever, hardly ever, once, twice, Internet, program, swing, swing dance 能掌握以下句型: What does he do on weekends? He usually watches TV. How often do you watch TV? I watch TV every day. Does he go shopping? No, he never go shopping. 2) 能了解以下语法:频度副词及一般现在时简单谈论周末活动情况。2能力目标(1)认读新单词和两个新句型,做到发音准确、清晰;(2)熟练运用新句型与同学进行相互问答;(3)能够借助the sample conversation进行看图问答或综合说话;(4)能够根据多媒体课件和自制材料自主听读英语对话材料。3. 情感态度价值观目标:通过本单元的学习,养成健康的饮食习惯,保证充足的睡眠时间,进行合理的运动锻炼,以保持健康的体魄。培养学生的逻辑表述能力,激发学生的积极思维,实现快乐学习、轻松学习。在学生两两交流和小组合作交流中,培养合作意识和合作精神,能够相互配合完成一段通顺流畅的对话训练。并使学生互相了解,增进友谊。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 对6个频度副词细微差异的理解及使用。2) 弄清一般现在时在不同人称下动词形式及提问的变化。2. 教学难点:1)第三人称单数谓语动词在此核心句型中的运用。2) 谈论课余时间的各项活动,以及初步认识和使用频率副词。三、学习者特征分析学生是八年级的学生,对语法一般现在时已经非常熟悉。他们思维活跃,善于和同学交流,乐于表达自己,渴望得到同学和教师的赞许;学生对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣,但是英语的听读能力还有待加强;学生对于移动终端课件、微课、PPT talking和picture talking的呈现形式感到新奇。四、教学策略选择与设计1.现行组织者策略:通过移动终端课件,有利于形成宽松活泼的课堂氛围,小组合作,自主探究,积极主动的获取新知。2师生示范策略:教师通过和12个学生的口语交际,给全班同学做说话训练作示范,让学生清楚说话的内容和方式;3.自主听读策略:学生通过自主听读对话材料,在完成课标要求的基础上训练听说能力,积累和丰富英语词汇和句式;过程与方法(1)能够通过师生对话示范、学生结对子和自主听读体验交际式英语教学的一般过程,掌握英语听说的基本技巧;(2)能够通过结对子和综合对话体验合作学习的过程和方法;(3)能够仔细倾听老师和同学的发言,有语言表达和与同学交流的愿望。五、教学资源与工具设计1本课教材;2拓展资源:一篇英文阅读;3. 教学环境:多媒体、幻灯片、移动终端课件 微课。三、教学过程. Lead in Talk about your last weekends activities. Tell the students that the teacher is healthy because of exercise. Then lead into the project. Presentation1. Using mobile terminal courseware to complete the task:How to pronounce the new words and how to use the new words. The purpose is to cultivate students to explore new knowledge, and understand the importance of teamwork and achievement. in the process of the completion of the taskWriting on the blackboard: Let the students write the usage of the important words2. Multimedia presentation : watch TV,read books,exercise,swim ,play football、go shopping、 go to movies Let the students answer, and combine with the key sentence patterns for basic drills.3. Click on the frequency adverbs and the percentage of the Related words on the screen.always (100%) usually(80%) often (30-50%) sometimes (20%) hardly ever(5%) never (0%)Read frequency adverbs, Analysis of the vocabulary about sometimes which is easy to mix by inserting micro lessons . Then let the students make sentences combined with the daily activities.Let the students summarize the key sentences and write it on the blackboard. Listening 1. Let a student read the words aloud. Make sure all the Ss know the meaning of the words. 2. Tell Ss to listen and write the letters from the picture above on the line below. 3. Play the tape for the first time. Ss listen and fill in the blanks. 4. Play the tape for the second time for the Ss to check the answers. . Listening Work on 2a: 1. Let Ss read the phrases in the chart. 2. Tell Ss that Cheng Tao is taking about how often he does these activities. Play the recording for the first time. Ss listen and number the activities 1-5.3. Play the recording for the second time for the Ss to check the answers.Work on 2b:1. Tell Ss they will hear the recording again. This time, listen and match the activities in 2a with how often Cheng Tao does them.2. Ss listen and math the activities with the phrases. 3. Check the answers.Writing 1. Look at the picture. Discuss with your partners. Make a list of the weekend activities. 2. Let some Ss read out their activities. Let other Ss add more activities. VI. Pair work 1. Act out the conversation with a student. 2. Let Ss talk about the pictures in 1a in pairs. 3. Let some Ss act out their conversations. . Pair work 1. Ask one student how often he/she watch TV as a model.A: How often do you watch TV?B: I watch TV every day.A: Watching TV too much is bad. A: How often does she watch TV?B: She watches TV once a week.A:She has a good habit. 2. Let one student read the activities in the chart. 3. Ss work with their partners. Then ask some pairs to act out their conversations. . Role-play 1. Read the conversation by themselves, then match the activity with the right time. Dance lessonTuesday Piano lesson Wednesday and FridayPlaying tennisMonday2. Let the Ss read the conversation after you. 3. Ss work with a partner and act out the conversation. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation in front of the class. IX. Promotion training1. According to the first letters and complete the words2. Read the story and then tell us in Chinese.
