Im really tried because I studied until midnight last night. You could give him a ticket to a ball game. I think you should ask your parents for some money. The boy is not happy.T: Whats the matter with the boy/ Whats wrong with the boy?S: He has too much homework to do. Step 2 Talking1. Look at these problems. Do you think they are serious or not? I have to study too much so I dont get enough sleep. I have too much homework so I dont have any free time to do things I like. My parents dont allow me to hang out with my friends. I have too many after-school classes. I got into a fight with my best friend.2. Ss read these problems in 1a by themselves. Then translate the phrases in the sentenses. Game “Lets guess!”why is the boy so lonely? Ss guess His parents dont allow him to hang out with his friends. etc. Sum up “allow sb to do sth”.Write it on the blackboard.3.Check if Ss memerize these problems by looking at the pictures.Step 3 Listening 1. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the problems you hear in 1a.Check the answers with the Ss.Step 4 discussingRead the sentences on the screen , learn to give advice. Use” why dont you do sth ? why not do sth?”get a few Ss to show their resultsT sum up the ways to give advice.
