Unit 3 life in the future钟祥市第三钟祥 肖进本单元以life in the future 为中心话题,旨在通过本单元的学习,让学生大胆发挥想象,对人类今后的生活环境,生活方式进行猜测,提倡环保生活意识,同时让学生学会过去分词作定语和作状语的不同用法,最后让学生将本单元所讨论的话题和推测手法结合,学习怎么样写report。本单元所涉及的要点有:1.学习并了解未来生活的各个方面用与现在生活的不同之处, 学习外星人的生活方式。2.学习表示预测,建议的的句型。3.学习过去分词作定语和状语的结构。4.学习写好“report”,以训练学生的逻辑思维及写作能力。经教材分析,本单元可用5课时完成。 第1课时:阅读课 将Warming up, Pre-reading, Reading, Comprehending部分设计成一节阅读课。 第2课时:知识点学习 将第1课时里所涉及的知识点讲解。 第3课时:语言学习过去分词作状语和定语 将Learning about language中的Discovering useful structures和Workbook中的Using Structures放在一起上一节语法课。 第4课时:听说课 将Using Language中的Reading and discussing和Listening and speaking合成一节听说课。 第5课时:写作复习课 Period Teaching Contents:Warming up, pre-reading, reading, comprehendingTeaching aims:1. Inspire the students to imagine the future life.2. Develop the students reading ability.3. Enable the students to understand the meaning of the text. 4. Get the students to think about the problem were facing now and in the future what the world would like.Important & difficult point: Compare life in the past, at present and in the future. The students imagine what the future life is like and use the proper expressions.Teaching methods:Fast and careful reading; asking and answering activity; pair or group work. Teaching procedures:Step1: Lead-in.Look at some pictures of Mars and pictures about life in the past, at present and in the future. Then ask the students to try to find the differences between them. Finally, ask them to predict what the life will be like in the future.Step2: Warming up.Before doing the exercise, look at some pictures to remind the students of old things.Then let them to discuss according to the table on Page 17.And let the students know the change of life.Step3: Pre-reading1. Can you tell what problems people are facing today?2. What problems do you think people in the future will have overcome?
