Greetings and daily questions.2. Play a guessing game.Cover the part of animals , describe them in English , ask ss to guess what they are.(1) .T:It is thin .It likes eating bananas.What is it? Ss: Its a monkey.(2) .T:It is fat .It is white and black .What is it? Ss: Its a panda.(3) .T:It is tall . It has a long neck, what is it? Ss: Its a giraffe.(4).T:It is big and tall . It has a long nose.What is it? Ss: Its an elephant. Step 2. Presentation 1. Show a picture of the elephant , ask ss to look and say. Look at the elephant . It has a l o n g nose. It has a short tail. It has small eyes and big eyes.2.Lead the ss practice the new words by “High and Low” 、“I say , you say ”3.Play the chant on P28 with actions .Big ,big,big,make your eyes big.Small,small,small,make your eyes small.Long ,long,long,make your arms long.Short,short,short,make your arms short.Step 3. Practice1.Look and compare: Show the pictures of pencils/bags/golden sticks. Ask ss to compare them .Then practice the new words : long 、short 、big 、small.2.Review the new words by picking peaches.Show the picture of Monkey King. Describe the monkey ,then ask ss to pick the peaches for the monkey . Each peach,each word . The student who says the word correctly and loudly can get the peach.Step 4 Exploration 1. Revision : Look at the monkey and describe the monkey .2. Pair work : Draw a kind of animal ,then introduce it in English.Step5 ExtensionShow the pictures of injured animals . Lead the ss read the sentences as follow:Animals are friends of human.Stop killing and start to protect them.Dont let everything become memory.Love animals , love life !From now on , from
