第二次修改Module 9 Unit 1 Why do you like Australia?新标准英语(一年级起始)Book 8青岛嘉峪关学校孔娜一、教材分析本单元是以Why do you like Australia?为题的对话,具体内容是:Amy 和Lingling在看一张澳大利亚地图时,引发的一段对话。文中Amy告诉Lingling,她很喜欢澳大利亚,因此Lingling好奇的问其原因,Amy认真的回答。本单元的语言结构学习内容是如何让运用Why?询问原因,并以Because来回答。Why与Because的问答是本册出现的新知识点。且文中涉及的澳大利亚的相关内容也是首次出现在教材中。澳大利亚作为重要的英语国家,是每位英语学习者都应了解的,也是符合课程标准中二级的要求,即学生乐于了解异国文化、习俗。所以本课的重点是:在理解对话内容、学习本课重点语句的同时,帮助学生初步了解澳大利亚的相关知识,比如语言、当地动物等。本单元功能是用Why和Because进行问答。本功能的语用目的是询问原因,并回答,以此了解他人对某事、某物的喜好原因。1学习目标:1)学生能听懂、读出、说出新单词:Australia(Australian), because, map, language,kangaroo,koala;重点句:Why do you like Australia? Because I love Australian animals. Why do you love kangaroos and koalas? Because they are very, very cute. 合作组内能力较强的学生能够当堂记忆新单词与句子,并在复述课文环节默写出单词。2)学生能听懂并流利朗读课文。合作组内能力较强的学生能够有感情的表演完整对话或语篇中的重要图片内容。3)通过小组合作,学生共同完成一份海报,帮助其拓展巩固”Why? Because”的句型应用。组内能力稍弱的学生能够在同伴的帮助下依据本课所学句式完成场景中的简单问答;能力较强的学生能够根据自己真实的想法表达问题与原因。4)通过文本的学习,学生能对澳大利亚有初步的了解,感知中外文化的差异。2重、难点:灵活运用重点句Why?Because询问并回答原因,帮助潜质生能用本课重点句式问答课文中相关内容,促进优质生能用句式问答生活中的问题。二、学情分析经过近四年的英语学习,学生已具备了一定的听说读写的能力,有较好的模仿力,在老师的引导下,能运用所学基本句型进行语言操练,在课堂教学中能积极参与,在小组合作时能互动交流,分享信息。因为在前期的课例设计中,教师经常会以Why询问相关文本或图片内容,所以100%学生了解why的意思,但是不会灵活运用WhyBecause问答。要自如地运用重点句型进行语言交际,还需要有效的操练。三、教学策略借助澳大利亚的视频,调动学生感官,运用学生已有知识经验以及在课前预习的基础上,在自由会话中自然导入。借助文本所创设的情境,进行语言操练,在完成任务的同时,提高语用能力。并通过合理的小组活动,分享自己的所获。四、教具:课件、单词卡片、头饰、辅学纸、配套练习册等。五、教学过程根据我校的“四段双检”教学模式,我设计如下:预习内容:1. 听录音,尝试模仿跟读课文3遍。2. 搜集你感兴趣的澳大利亚相关资料,并在课前与组内同伴交流,尽量用英语表达。 3. Enjoy a movie of Australia【设计意图】交流信息,初步感知了解澳大利亚。并由此引出本课核心国家。在自由会话中,学习三个新单词。为正式进入文本做好准备。Step II 定策学习1.Watch the video and choose.T: Australia is a very beautiful country. Amy likes it. She will go there one day. Watch the video and finish the exercises. (配套练习册 P33 1)1) What are they talking about?A. They are talking about language. B. Because they are very, very beautiful.Check up the answers. 【设计意图】通过课前预习,大部分学生能够理解文本。课堂上带着4个问题,再次浏览全文,帮助其进一步了解课文意思,并加深理解。2. Learn the words “kangaroo, koala”T: Amy loves Australian animals. What animal does she love?Get the answer. (S: Kangaroos. Koalas.)Show the pictures of kangaroos and koalas.小组合作,交流袋鼠和考拉的一些特点或习性T: Can you talk about them in groups?S: (It can jump far. )T: Kangaroos live in Australia. They jump on their back legs. The mother kangaroo has a special bag for her baby. They eat grass and leaves. (Unit 2的文本资料)Heres a song for you. Try to sing.Kangaroo, kangaroo, I love kangaroos. How do they talk about “Australia and Australian animals”?1) Watch and repeat by themselves.2) Practice with the partners.3) Act out the dialog.【设计意图】本环节主要是通过原版录音,呈现重点句。在前几个环节的基础上,通过同伴合作自主学习课文的两组重点句,最终同伴能够表演出对话,使学生对课文的理解逐渐加深。Step III 巩固练习1.Listen, repeat and circle “why, because”.Watch the video and repeat.2.
