Knowledge Objects (1) Function:Learn to talk about geography and nature.(2) Key Vocabulary : achievement, southwestern, thick, include, freezing, condition, succeed, challenge, achieve, force, nature (3)Target language: One of the worlds most dangerous sports is mountain climbing. Even more serious difficulties include freezing weather conditions and heavy storm. Its very hard to take in air as you get near the top It also shows about humans can sometimes be stronger than the forces of nature.2.Ability Objects (1) Be able to understand the passage and find out the main idea of each paragraph (2) Learn to talk about the facts of the world by using the numeral and the comparatives and superlative with adjectives and adverbs.3.Moral Objects (1) Encourage students to face the challenge and never give up trying to achieve their dream. (2) If we face the difficulties, we can sometimes be stronger than the force of the nature.II.Teaching Key Points 1. Be able to understand the passage and find out the main idea of each paragraph. 2. Enable to use the comparatives and superlative with adjectives and adverbs.III.Teaching Difficult Points Learn and master the usage of the comparatives and superlatives with adjectives and adverbs.IV. Teaching ProceduresStep 1 Review (about 3 minutes) Ask students to answer the following questions: Which is the longest river in Asia? Which is the biggest desert in the world? Which is the highest mountain in the world?Step 2 warming -up (about 5 minutes) T: Qomolangma is the highest mountain in the world. And its also one of the most dangerous mountain in the world. Do you know why? Today well learn an article. It will tell us about Qomolangma. Lets enjoy a video ( 02:30 minutes) first. Question:What kind of dangers can you see in the video? ( thick clouds, cliff, freezing weather condition ,heavy storm, snow, take in air hard.)Step 3 Presentation Task 1 Listen and answer the questions.
