I like to watch action movies because theyre exciting.三、技能目标: Ss can grasp the names of different kinds of TV shows and movies. Through listening and speaking, students can use adjectives to describe different kinds of TV shows and movies.四、情感态度: Lead students to retail(转述)others views in a realistic way. Teaching and learning steps:Step I. Teaching Aims 展示目标Tell the Ss they are going to learn Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section B 1a-1d.And show students the learning aims of this lesson.1. 能够用不同的形容词表达自己或他人的喜好。2. 能够掌握更多的电视节目、电影名称。3. 训练听力中捕捉重点词汇的方法和能力。 (设计意图:上课初,向学生展示学习课题与学习目标,帮助他们明确这一节课的学习任务所在。)Step. Pre-listening activities1. Preview(1) Look at the pictures and write down different kinds of movies and TV shows.(2) Ask the students to open their books to P36 and read by themselves . Then say out these words orally according to the Chinese. Warming up and leading inShow some photos of TV shows and movies.T: Weve known there are many TV shows .Some people like them, some people dont .Why? While-listening activities1、Ask the Ss to listen again and circle the description words they hear in the box in 1a.2、1c Listen again. John: Hmm ,let me look in the newspaper How about something ,like an action movie or a scary movie ? Mary: Oh no, I think those movies are so . John: Well , most of the movies on right now are action movies or movies . Mary: Oh, maybe we should stay at home and watch TV then .I want to watch something , like a game show or a sitcom. John: Hmm. I dont really like those kinds of TV shows. I think theyre . I like to watch talk shows .Theyre more . Mary: OK, I like talk shows, too. I think theyre . I like to find out what different people think about a subject. John: OK, great. Theres a show at 4:00 p.m. Lets watch that one.3、 Then ask the Ss to listen to the tape and finish the tape scripts.4、 Check the Ss answers. Summary:Inquiry into knowledge by translationAsk the Ss to look at the following sentences and try to summarize the language rules to make inferences and fill in the blanks. The Ss can help each other and have a discussion after doing the following by themselves.(一)meaningless -less 是单词后缀,它与后缀 -ful 构成一对反义词。所以meaningless的反义词为 ,类似的词有 careful, helpful, useful 等,它们的反义词分别是 , , 。(二)I like to watch action movies because theyre exciting . (译文) 句中exciting 是 词,意思是“ ”。而excited虽然也是形容词,但它们的用法不同,前者主语为 ,后者主语为 ,类似的词还有interesting, boring等。如:1、这个消息令人兴奋。 2、听到这个消息后我们很兴奋。 3、现在很多人对英语感兴趣。 4、那个故事很有趣。 5、我们都厌倦了,因为那个电影很烦人。 (设计意图:“翻译探究”的主要目的是变老师讲解语言知识为学生自学语言知识。学生使用“翻译探究”时可以和答案同时使用,帮助自学、探究、发现和归纳,也帮助教师实施“先学后教,以学定教”。)Step.
