Go for it English Grade 7 Book 2Unit 7 Its raining!Seton A 1a-2c.The instruction of teaching planning绥阳县青溪中学付芝元 Good morning, everyone! Now its my turn to talk about my teaching planning. My content is Go for it English Grade 7 Book 2 Unit 7 Its raining! Seton A 1a-2c. My spoken English is poor. Pardon me? My instruction of teaching planning includes four hands: teaching material analysis, student analysis, teaching method and teaching procedure. Part 1 Teaching material analysis1. The status and functionsThe main topic of unit 7 is “the weather” and Whats happening? In this unit, the students will learn to talk about different kinds of weather. This is a topic that is related to their daily life, so it can raise their learning interests and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English.Teaching GoalsTeaching Goals:(1)Knowledge and skill:Class can use and remember the new words the target words:sun, sunny, wind, windy,cloud, cloudy, rain, rainy,snow, snowy, weather. Class can ask and answer the weather with the sentence pattern: How is the weather? Its. Train the Ss abilities of working in pairs. (2)、process and methods: Pair-work, group-work, listening, speaking, reading.(3) 、Emotional attitudes and values: The weather in the word is getting warmer and warmer ,we should protect the environment and dont cut down the trees.3.Teaching emphasis and difficulty The emphasis is to study some words about the weather, to ask and answer the weather. The difficulty is the words about weather like rain, rainy, sun, sunny etc.4. Teaching aids: Multi-media computer, Tape recorder, They will be needed in this lesson.Part 2 Ss analysisThe Ss have learned English for about one year so far. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. The Ss have taken a great interest in English now. Part 3 Teaching methods Situation teaching: To begin the lesson with two students fighting, introduce the item of this lesson. Ask the Ss to watch some pictures and say about what people are doing to study the content.Task-teaching: Give the Ss some task on the lesson, They tried finish the tasks, and to finish the learning step by step. Part 4 Study methodI request the students to study English independently cooperatively and investigatively. Each unit in Go for it contains pair work, group work and games. The students who sit at the same table and groups can make a discussion and learn from each other. It makes each student relaxed. They neednt worry about making mistakes. It can help students to think and to say what they want to say. Study becomes more relaxed and pleased in this kind of environment.Part 5 Procedures Ill finish this lesson in 5 steps.Step 1. Warm up. 1. Greet between the teacher and the students.2. Divide the class into four groups and tell class which group answer the most questions,they are the winner. (The purpose of design):Let class work in group and form group cooperation and competition.Step 2.Lead-in T: I want to go to Shanghai by train. What should I do first? S: Know the weather first(Lead class to say to go into the new lesson). (The purpose of design):Make situation teaching.Do this to let class be interested in learning these content and learn easily. Step 3. New Words Learning 1.Use the multimedia computer to show different areas , different weather.Teach the new words.Do it like this. T:Whats this? Ss: Its cloud. T:We can say “Its cloudy today.”Read after me. Sun-sunny. (The purpose of design):Teaching the words like this can be easy and straight.2.Train the new words.Use the multimedia computer to show different pictures of different weather.Class say the words weather, sun, sunny, cloud, cloudy, rain, rainy, wind, windy etc quickly. (The purpose of design):Class can master the words in a short time by comparing.Step 4.Presentation. 1.Use the multimedia to show some pictures to appear the sentence pattern:Hows the weather? Its. T: How is the weather in Beijing? Ss: Its sunny. T: How is the weather in Moscow? Ss: Its Windy. T: . (The purpose of design):Learn the sentence pattern in the situation.2. Ask and answer the weather each other in pairs.Then get several pairs to act in front of class. (The purpose of design):Practice in pairs, let them get mark for their groups,form the love of the group. Step 5. Consolidation. 1.Use the multimedia to show the words of the cities:Moscow, Tonronto, Boston . (The purpose of design):Make the listening content get easy.2. Play the tape of 1b,2a,and 2b. Class listen and finish.(The purpose of design):Improve the listening skill.2. Let class make dialogues according to the pictures in 2a.Use the example :Whats Joe doing? Hes playing basketball.(The purpose of design):Practice and revise the Present Continuous Tense. Step 6. Summary.T:What have you got in this lesson.Ss:Ask and answer the weather. How is the weather in Beijing?(And we can say:Whats the weather like?) Its . (The teacher write them on the Bb.)Then let class know the weather in
