Show a video to say hello to the students. 2.Let the Ss use the forms of verb“be”to complete an interesting introduction about Miss Li. Step2:Leading【导入】1.Play the video and have a free talk about “rainstorm”.Show a TV report about the rainstorm in Heyuan last year to lead to the topic. A:What was Miss Li doing when the rainstorm came? B:Miss Li was waiting for the bus.Step 3 : presentation 【呈现】1.Play the guessing game.Show some pictures about the activities happened in the dormitory.Let Ss guess what the students were doing when the rainstorm came. Practice the sentence pattern:A:What was he/she doing when the rainstorm came?B:He/She was+doing.A:What were they doing when the rainstorm came?B:They were was+doing.2.T can use mind map to help the Ss make more sentences. Let the Ss talk in pairs or in a group of 4.They can draw their own mind map if they want. 3. Act as a reporter , lead the Ss ask and answer: A ;What were you doing when the rainstorm came? B:I was+doing.4.Play the game .Step 4 : practice 【练习】Task 1: Where were the people at the time of the rainstorm? Match the statements with the people in the picture.
