Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark.教学设计永顺县溪州中学英语组 蔡冬香 Period 3一、 教学目标1.知识与技能 1)能掌握以下单词:interview,Asian,deal with, shyness,dare,crowd,ton,private,guard,require 2) 能了解以下语法: talk about what you used to be afraid of and what you are still afraid of 3) 能掌握以下技能: 学生将能够通过寻找选项中关键词的方法,阅读文章匹配各段段落大意。2.过程与方法 本节课为阅读课,通过读前预测,读中通过找关键词总结段落大意等阅读技能的培养提升学生的阅读理解能力。同时读后的复述及口语活动设计将帮助学生内化文章结构和语言并在语境中使用语言,培养综合的语言运用能力。3.情感、态度与价值观 通过分享主人公的故事体会成功的不易。二、教学重难点 1. 教学重点: 通过寻找选项中关键词的方法,扫读文章匹配各段段落大意。 2. 教学难点: 通过寻找选项中关键词的方法,扫读文章匹配各段段落大意。三、学习者特征分析 通过Section A的学习,学生基本上掌握了最高级的用法。本节课让学生小组对话、结对练习、习题检测等形式,对所学知识进行拓展巩固。四、教学策略选择与设计 采用自主学习、发现式学习策略,利用多媒体开展课堂,让学生在真实的语言情景中复习本单元的词汇和句型,让学生们加强巩固所学知识。五、教学资源 1.人教版八年级上册教材; 2. PPT课件; 3. 电子白板交互式教室。六、教学过程Step . 情景导入(Lead-in )Warming- up and revision -Do you know the beautiful and outgoing girl?-Yeah. Shes the famous singer Candy Wang.-Can you guess what she was like in the past? -She used to be a shy girl.【设计意图】通过提问来帮助学生复习上节课所学,为学习新课打下基础。Step . 新知探究(Presentation )Learn some new words.1. She took up singing to deal with her shyness. As she got better, she was not shy anymore and loved singing in front of crowds. Now shes the Asian pop star. She got tons of attention after she sang songs on the Voice of China.There will be always guards around her.
