Autonomous and cooperative approach.Teaching aids: A tape recorder,multimedia.Teaching procedures:Step 1Warming up and leading in(Show some shirts on the screen.)T: What can you see on the screen?Ss: Some shirts.T: What are the shirts made of? (板书课题)Ask students to read the sentence together. Then help them to answer: They are made of cotton. Teach the new word cotton.T: Where were they made? Do you know?Help them answer: They were made in Korea. Teach the new word Korea.Step 2Presentation1. Show some pictures on the screen and teach the new words: chopstick, coin, silver, fork, steel, blouse, glass.2. Show all the new words learned on the screen and have the whole class read after the teacher.3. Show the objectives of this class on the screen: (1) To talk about what products are made of and where they were made.(2) To learn to usebe made of, be made in.Step 3 Practice1.Show some pictures of the things in 1a on the screen and ask “Whats this?” to help students review “stamp, window, fork, coin, ring, blouse”.2.Give students several minutes to match them with the materials in 1a. More than one answer is possible.3.Check the answers by asking: What are chopsticks made of? Have students answer: Theyre made of wood or gold or silver.4.Ask students to practice with their partners.(A: Whats a window made of?B: Its made of wood or glass.)(A: Whats a coin made of? B: Its made of gold or silver.)( A: Whats a stamp made of? B: Its made of paper.)(A: Whats a fork made of?B: Its made of wood or gold or silver.)(A: Whats a blouse made of? B: Its made of silk.)5.Ask students to look at the chart in 1b. Then play the recording the first time, students just listen. Later,play a second time, students listen and finish the work in 1b.6.Check the answers by asking:A: What are the shirts/chopsticks made of? B: Theyre made of cotton/steel.A: Where were they made? B: They were made in America/Korea.A: What is the ring made of? B: Its made of silver.A: Where was it made? B: It was made in Thailand.Step 4 Consolidation 1.Ask students work in pairs to practice the conversations in the box in 1c. 2. Invite some pairs to present their conversations.3. Ask students to make conversations according to the pictures and the words
