Its time forTeaching aids: PPT, word cards,sentence cards.Teaching steps: Step1. Greeting Hello, boys and girls, nice to meet you!How are you? Step2. Warm-upLets sing a song together.Step3. Free talkT: Look at the clock. What time is it?Ss: Its T: Its time forSs: Its time for English class.T: Yes, its time for English class. Are you ready for the class?Ss: Yes.Step4.Words2. Teacher shows a picture of a clock first, then, asks the Ss to say it in English.Teacher teach the word “time”and then show the sentence in blackboard: What time is it?Teach the other words like that.(read words for 6 times and pay attention to the tones.)Teach “English class”,“music class” and “P.E.class”,In this section, teacher may use some word games to make sure the Ss remember the words. Such kind of word games includes: Low voice, and loud voice Clap the cards while read the words loudly Read words for 6 times with different tones. Step5. SentenceWhat time is it? Its In this section, teacher uses PPT to practice the Sss expression of time. Pay attention to the pronunciation of Oclock.PPT shows the clock. T: What time is it? Ss: Its 7 Oclock. T: Yes, its time for breakfast. Combined with the sentence pattern to teach “breakfast”. Teach “lunch” and “dinner” in the same way.Step6. Group workTeacher show Toms schedule,and ask students to make dialogue in groups.Finally teacher choose some Ss to perform. In this section, teacher may praise the S who does well in the performance. Therere some ways of praise the Ss:Hey, hey, great, hey, hey, hey, great.Youre good, youre fine, and youre perfect No1.Step7. Guessing gameTeacher shows pictures of clocks which have no pointers.And Ss guess “What time is it?” Step7, Sum-up T: You all did a good job. Class, what do we learn today
