Where did you go on vacation?Section A 1a-1c一 Analysis of the teaching material The topic of this unit is to talk about holidays and vacations. Students will learn to talk about past events through indefinite pronouns and simple past tense of regular and irregular verbs. This class is the first lesson of this unit and it mainly focuses on the activities in the past , at the same time, to learn the sentences with indefinite pronouns.二 Analysis of the studentsMy students are a group of active teens that are thirsty for knowledge. They like talking about new, difficult problems each other. And the topic of the unit is related to our life, I think my students will be interested in it.三 Teaching aims and demands: Knowledge objectives:Students will be able to memorize the activities and the sentences: stayed at home , went to New York City, visited my uncle , went to summer camp , went to the mountains, went to the beach, visited museums. 1. Did you go anywhere on vacation? Yes. I went to / I visited/ I stayed at home.2. Did you go with anyone? Yes. I went with my friends / family / father / mother 3. And did you do anything interesting? Yes. I went fishing / played soccer / swam / took many photos4. Did everyone have a good time? Oh, yes. Lets listen to it.(After listening to the song, talk about our summer vacation.)Step2 Presentation1. Talk about our summer vacation with my students. T: The song is about summer holiday. We know holiday means vacation. My summer vacation was great. What about yours?Ss:T : And where did you go on vacation?Ss:2. Show 6 pictures on the screen and ask my students to guess where they went on vacation to learn the activities about vacation.T: I know where some of you went, now lets look at the pictures and where did they go on vacation? Please look at the first picture, where did the boy go on vacation?Ss: T:Yes, he stayed at home.Step3 Match Let my students finish 1a by themselves and then check the answers through 7sentences.Step4 Listening Let my students look at the picture and guess what their names are, then listen and check the answers by working in pairs.After that, let my students listen again and then fill in the blanks, then listen and check the answers.Step5 Pair work Let my students work in pairs to talk about the people in the picture using the main sentences from the conversations. Then check the answers . Step6 Group work Let my students work in groups. 4 students are in a group , each group has a piece of paper that has something on it. One student asks the other 3 students 4 questions and then fill in the chart. After that ,each group gives a report. Step7 Summary What have we learned today? Step8 Homework 1.
